ENHANCEMENTS

(BADI / USEREXIT)

In HP, The Cost and Revenue for certain business is tracking through Project System. It’s basically all are Operational Projects. But when EDS merges, they do have Capital projects for specifically to control the amounts spent on Capital across the Organization via CAN (Capital Appropriation Number).

For the Above Requirement we have to implement the Solution on PS, PR, PO, SO to satisfy the end to end solution for Sales and Purchase perspective. We had a more than 8 business scenario where we have configured and identified by differentiating Doc Type, Accounting Assignment category and Final Financial Option which is custom field created at the Project Level.

For the PS Requirement, we have a specific fields added to the Header level and WBS Level using User exit CNEX0006

For the PR Requirement, We have checked on Net Price in USD and the available budget using the BADI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST.

For the PO Requirement, we have done the same in the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.

For the SO, there are some scenarios we have configured like PR will be generating automatically when we save the Sales Order. In this case we have Configured new Schedule line Category and done some modification in the User Exit MV45AFZB (USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_ME_REQ) and MV45AFZZ (USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE).

All the above places we have implemented the Specific CAN check to prevent the user to Proceed with the Capital Business Transaction.

REPORTS & RFC

Requirement is to create a price list document to communicate to Schneider direct customers, the price and product information they need to run their business. Typically this information is communicated once a year at the time of a price increase. This price list should reflect discounts and net prices, contract prices and rebate agreements for the internal use of these specific customers when interacting with Schneider to purchase their products.

We have created Function module for each list and for Contract Details we have created RFC enabled function module to retrieve the data from CRM. Finally produced ALV Grid and PDF to send an email or Fax to the customers through SAP Connect.

SMARTFORMS

Requirement is to print a form to let the operator to check the several information filled in the work Order. This form will follow the operator during the maintenance execution.

This will be executed from the transaction IW32 or IW3D.This has been done by copying the standard program RIPRJT00 and created new layout using a new layout in SMARTFORM

INTERFACE

/ BAPI

Scope is to Integrate the third party system (MSPS). Microsoft Project server is a Project and task scheduling tool in EDS business unit. It also a PPM tool for them.

For certain business, labor tracking was done using SAP CAT2/CATW. This has been tracked using SAP WBS created using PS module. When Project manager create their external Project and task, then they usually assign those to SAP WBS in MSPS tool .

When Business users book a time in SAP, they don’t have visibility like what Project or Task has been assigned for them.

For the above requirements we have created a interface to transfer the business data from SAP to MSPS and vice versa. Basically it’s a two way process. We have used some HP specific transfer medium called HP Service Bus.

MSPS will send all the Data in XML format and we read those and update in CATSDB and some Custom tables. When Business user book a time in CAT2/CATW we have Provided some collective search where they can see their Assigned task and they can pick up their Open task as well.

After they booked a time then in SAP, we send a Approved records in a XML format to MSPS through HPSB where this will be updated in the MSPS Database. Where Project managers are having full visibility on their Task and Scheduling Process for the resources.

MODULEPOOL PROGRAM

Requirement is to maintain a campaign Id available while creating the Sales order for both the header and header level.

We have done a screen modification for the standard program SAPMV45A (Screens 4900, 8309 and 8459) and created custom field in VBKD table for maintaining the new Campaign ID available in the Transaction VA01,VA02,VA03.

ABAP OOPS

Created an ALV grid using custom container and the method SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY for the custom process of our client.

CROSS APPLICATION

The Business Requirement is when we create a project in one region then it has to replicate to the other region also. This scenario has been taken care by the standard BAPI BAPI_PROJECT_SAVEREPLICA. But when we need the Z fields should also replicate then it’s getting failed using this BAPI because there is no Z fields structure in this BAPI. Technically we don’t have extension structure available in this BAPI

Basic type used for the Project Replication is Project01.When Project getting saved using CJ01.CJ02 or CJ20N, the Outbound IDOC will be generated in the Source system. And this IDOC cannot be extended as this used directly in Project Program and IDOC is pushing using Queuing Concept.

By the above Problem, I have provided the solution to move the Z fields in the BAPI User fields where we can retrieve it in the Target system and update to PROJ or PRPS Table appropriately while processing the Inbound IDOC. We have achieved all the Z fields replication using the same approach of ALE/IDOC configuration.

ENHANCEMENTS / IDOC

Business needs to copy some custom fields while creating a credit memo request.

This has been done by executing IDOC testing tool (WE19) and release it using the transaction CMS_TM. After we process the claim records then automatically Credit memo request will be created. Here we have manually transferred the value to the custom filed using the BADI CMS_MAP_APP_PRO_BADI

SMARTFORMS

Business is to trigger the Return Material Authorization form once the return/repair order is validated. This form will be triggered from CRMD_ORDER transaction. It will prevent customers to sending products back to Schneider without any authorization.

Hence, many customer returns will be avoided and the non-quality cost will be minimized. And this form will help customer to know which authorized service center and/or to which receiving plant the returned products should be send.

CRM MIDDLEWARE

Business Need is to replicate the CRM Campaign ID to ECC Custom field in Sales Data(VBKD)

We have achieved by implementing the BADI CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI and fetch the new campaign id using the function module CRM_MKTPL_UTILITIES_GET_GEN. Then in ECC part we have enhanced and mapped using standard function module BAPI_SALESDOCU_PROXY_UPLOAD by updating the standard structure BAPE_VBKD where we have added our custom field to modify the sales Business data (VBKD).

RFC & BADI

In SRM the G/L account determination should be exactly the same as in ECC5 tool. The G/L account determination should occur at shopping cart creation and modification in SRM 5.0

For achieving this scope we have created RFC function module in ECC5 using the standard function module MR_ACCOUNT_ASSIGNMENT.

This RFC helped out in SRM environment to synchronize the same G/L account in the ECC tool.

CONVERSION

Business requirement is to have a conversion program in order to automatically upload the STARS hierarchy within SRM (based on an XLS file).

In SRM Product category will be maintained using COMM_HIERARCHY transaction. This has been achieved by using the function module COM_HIERARCHY_MAINTAIN_RFC and COM_PROD_CATEGORY_MAINTAIN. And additionally we have maintained the messages in the standard application log using SLG0 & SLG1 transaction.

Modification on Existing CATW Application

In HP, all the labor cost is tracking using CAT2/CATW. When EDS merges the go forward process is HP, so Business decided to add some new fields in the Existing CATW which is completely customized for HP and EDS Business.

We have added few columns to the existing CATW and Created some new Pages and linked to the existing Pages for more information the EDS users.

New CATW application created for US Government users

For EDS US business users, we had many Government policies and restriction to the users. So Business requested they need some Specific CATW for booking time to avoid some minor mistakes also.

In HR module, we have created specific Data Entry Profile for the US Government users and implemented some extra check as US business requested. For them we have configured new Attendance/Absence, Reason code, Capability etc.

We have created a new BSP pages for Single & Multiple Time entry and Approval Screen (Like CAT2, CAT4, CADO Tcode) . All these pages has been differentiated while loading the Data Entry profile assigned to the PERNR (Employee number) and the USER ID.
