ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Automatic Drink Dispenser – Microprocessor Systems
Developed automatic drink dispenser system using 8051 microcontroller to control solenoid valves. Coded embedded software in C programming language using SiLabs IDE for the microcontroller to interface with keypad and LCD to allow user control using interrupts, timers, I/O, and glue logic.
32 Bit Computer – Advanced Computer Hardware Design
Worked on team to develop control unit subsystem for a 32 Bit bus orientated computer to perform floating point arithmetic, data and logic instructions using VHDL and implementing it on Altera FPGA Hardware Board.
Mobile Balance Application – Capstone Project
Inherited project from previous teams to design an application to detect balance degradation in senior citizens. Worked on team to develop MATLAB code to analyze data from a smartphone’s accelerometer and gyroscope and design GUI for user interface.
Blimp Altitude Control – Embedded Control
Developed embedded control system to allow user to set altitude of a blimp by using inputs from a supersonic ranger. Programmed an 8051 microcontroller using C and implemented a PID controller to control the rotors to obtain the right elevation.
Weather Balloon – Engineering Design
Worked on team to develop weather balloon to take atmospheric measurements. Used Arduino microcontroller to interface sensors to record temperature, pressure, wind speed and wind direction.
