The system uses various algorithms to arrive at the best possible approach in each scenario. The application manages the data between the distributor and stores. I was responsible for making enhancements to the application, converting the application to NET4.0 and resolving production issues. In addition, I worked on a new project called Shipment verification written using MVC4 and can be treated as a subset of data factory. It allows the evaluation and correction of data that flows between the manufacturers, distributors and retailers. AGILE methodology is being followed for the development of shipment verification.

Currently I am working on generating scripts to replicate the existing database and its objects in a new server, copying the data from one server to another and writing some new stored procedures and scripts. My present tasks also include documenting the entire process. Project: Automation of vendor data and preparing Reports

I had three different tasks while working on this project. The first task was to automate a process that hitherto was done manually. HP deals with a lot of vendors and sometimes the products they deliver do not function well. In such situations, HP sends them a detailed report on what had happened. The vendors in turn, conduct tests on why component(s) failed to work and they send a report back to HP and the whole transaction has to be logged on to the database. The second task consisted in preparing reports using classical asp. I wrote the asp pages which were later added on to the already existing system. And the final task was modifying an existing VB6 application that was used to perform weekly tasks for the manager for her weekly reports. The application pulled data from an access database and performed a series of calculations and generated a tabular out output. Since the application was written long time ago, I made extensive changes and added a few new features to bring it up to date.

The software was developed for the in house use of Millenium Information Technologies. The software provided an elegant way to manage the resume of their employees, their list of vendors, a way to keep track of which employee was submitted to which vendor, complete employee details and complete vendor details. It also had mailing facilities that can be used to send mails and also keep track of them.

Environment:

C#.Net, ASP.Net, ADO.NET, Windows XP/NT, IIS Web Server, MS SQL Server 2000, Visual Studio.NET 2003.

Responsibilities:

Developed web interfaces using ASP.NET Web Forms

Wrote Middle Tier logic to retrieve and manipulate data by calling stored procedures.

Developed ASP.NET Web Mail features to send mail messages.

Created tables, stored procedures and functions in SQL Server 2000
