Pioneered $8.4M Tier 1 new plant build and start-up, including site selection, capital budget, process layout and domestic/international equipment purchase. Result: Plant started operations on schedule with ROI of 2 months.

Conceived and developed data book of equipment characteristics and tooling parameters, including instruction and sketches using ProE and Solidworks CADCAM systems. Result: Manual used as basis for all new tooling design and shortened design process from 3 weeks to 1 days.

Key technical team member on Drilling Riser Project. Results: World class product / assembly operation ($6M capital) with sales of $78M in 2009.

Team leader for new product development for Gate Valves, Drilling Riser lifting devices and managed pressure drilling “moon pool” components. Results: New product lines with additional sales in excess of $10M

Primary Metals Forging Company, manufacturer of pressure vessel, oil-field, automotive and power industry. Responsible for new product development and overseeing engineering activities. New product development includes closed products at Ameri-Forge Woodville (steam hammer) or IR (mechanical press), semi-closed die products at Ameriforge FVC (hydraulic press) and SII (rolled rings). Introduced SolidWorks CAD/CAM to group for product and tooling development. Member of management team reviewing key financial, quality and planning data.

Co-Developer of 4 patents (pending) for Drilling Riser related systems.

3 years of experience with manufacture of ring and pinion gears and wind turbine sun and ring gears.

Clifford-Jacobs Forging Company / Champaign, IL

Primary Metals Forging Company, manufacturer of gears, oil field fittings, air frame structural components, and wheels for urban and rail transport. Utilizing duel management and technical skills, oversee activities of Design Engineers, including estimates, new product definition and development, new tooling design, CADCAM modeling and cutter path generation. Responsible for $8M capital budget, including capital expense and building cost within 65,000 sq. foot of high automation equipment. Provide overall responsibility and top-level accountability for the ISO-9000 quality system, provide and coordinate APQP activities as required by customer. Oversee activities of Plant Engineering including major plant and equipment purchase, installations or repairs. Oversee activities of Laboratory Technicians, including testing of raw materials, requests for alternative materials, outside testing and interpretation on testing results. Responsible for outside services for heat treatment, testing) physical and chemical) and outside tool making. Manufacturer of Diesel and Gas Engine Crank Shafts. Progressively promoted and increased responsibilities with advanced company knowledge and proven accomplishments. Provided and oversaw annual budget for Process Engineering, Die Shop, and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) area, as well as directed and coordinated day to day activities. Provided technical support for major capital projects, including budgets and payment schedules ($200K to $8M special projects budget), coordinated international projects (i.e. purchase and transfer of equipment from German sites), and liaison with contractor for new building construction/changes.

Crucial member of technical leadership team in construction and start-up of new forging plant, Tier 1 supplier to Ford, including liaison at German plant and European equipment suppliers.
