Agency Office Automation (AOA) - This System is nationwide insurance product, which caters to various product lines including Fire, Health, Life, Auto, etc. It runs on Unisys CTOS workstations and is developed using COBOL and ISAM files. This system exchanges data with the Nationwide Auto Processing System (NAPS) which is resident on an IBM mainframe. NAPS consolidate and process the policy data for the Auto (automobile insurance) line of business.

The project involves web enabling of the Agency Office Automation system to enable customers to submit and monitor claims and for prospective customers to apply for new policies via the Internet. For this purpose, the Auto insurance line of business module of the Agency Office Automation System is being migrated, as a pilot project.
