MicroStrategy (MSTR) - MSTR can be used to generate standard reports that have fixed attributes or parameterized versions that allow the user to enter specific criteria, which translates to thousands of variations. UDA - Universal Data Acquisition

Feb 2009 –Jan 2010

Client : IMS

Domain : LIFE SCIENCES

The Universal Data Acquisition System provides a single input mechanism for the receipt of all Prescription data. Regardless of channel or format in which data is originally supplied, the UDA System transforms and stores the data in a common format, which then is processed through the a common application suite.

UDA Front End collects information at script level from various suppliers, processes it and loads it into the UDA database. Suppliers are the various organizations which sell medicines and which have the entire details for a particular medicine being sold. These suppliers sell these data to IMS. Each and every supplier has different form of layouts for the data which is being sent to IMS. IMS consolidates these layouts to a general layout called UTR layout for further processing.

Front end system gets the information and populates the Metadata tables. Metadata table is the table where the layouts for the information sent by different suppliers are captured. This is the table where the supplier files will be stored in the supplier format. These layouts can be retrieved and thus we can come to know the different layouts for the different suppliers. Data are supplied as batches or files. All the files will be processed based on the format through reference files. The application builds history based on the Good store, Bad store and also data used to reject or accept a supplier. This is based on minimum of 6 weeks of data. Corresponding reports are generated to display the process of the data and the output.
