Cook/Cashier

Responsibilities
While working seasonally through out the years at Lee's Vending (a small, personal, deli, soup and salad
bar) located on Wright-Patt Air Force Base I handled all cash transactions and prepared and served food to
their research lab scientist and military acquaintances. The cafe is small and private. A one-employee-at-time
job. Cleaning and maintaining a nice and comfortable dining area, kitchen, cooking utensils, floor, stocking
products, sorting vegan and non vegan products.
Accomplishments
I, myself, being a vegetarian of 8 years had plenty impact on our vegan and vegetarian customers as they often
stated how much went into the vegetarian/vegan/and non-gluten recipes that were added to menu shortly after
my arrival. Stating that is was not only convenient, but something "special."
Skills Used
1. Dialogue. I'd have to say that was what got me not only far, but continuous customers.
2. Allowing my conversational skills to convey genuine care. Whether it be the precision in how they wanted
their meal prepared or how their or my day was going.
3. Attention to detail. Extremely detrimental, especially when both simultaneously handling money and food
prepping and taking orders while staying on beat.
