Jumpseat IVR (Interactive Voice Recognition)-Web Services Application

IVR – IT group is responsible to ensure that web services are up and running to support our front end customers that happen to be Pilots. Aim of this project is to create new services required to support business process. US Airways Mainline Pilot Union Contract guarantees the ability to secure a jumpseat on any American Airline flights, for the purpose of completing their job to fly from residential city to the closest hub. These reservations for a primary or alternate jumpseat are made through an IVR system.

Groups Reservations -TGM

It is one of the applications that are used in American Airlines when caller calls in to book a group of more than 8. There is special customer service that caters to this requirement. This application is more complicated compared to general reservations in airline as there is big role played by Revenue Management & Legal team. Based on FAA and ITA sometime policy changes need to happen in short span of time, which means the application needs to be upgraded and pushed to production within iterative life cycle. This lead many a times expedited process of Request for change.

• Network Optimization (NEO) Availability Calculator

• Fare Class Alignment – FCA

Currently both Legacy American Airline and US Airways maintain separate Fare class hierarchies with different alignment of classes. With the merger it is necessary to integrate both Legacy carriers onto a single hierarchy and fare class alignment, which in turn will ensure that any booking in future done for US metal or AA metal represent the same fare groups as per Revenue management team & Operation Research team. The current legacy US fare class is very different from the legacy AA and one world fare class alignment.

• Gap Analysis (Merger of AA & US Airways)

PSS (Passenger Service System) System Integration- Legacy AA & US.
