Description:

Roles and Responsibilities as a Mobile Application Tester:

Worked closely with System to analyze the system requirements.

Active contribution for the creation of test plan and involved in writing test cases.

Used Microsoft TFS to maintain the documents and versioning

As part of the project execution; daily involved in the SCRUM meetings of the project.

Allstate has a Mainframe system for Policy management .As part of the Modernization Allstate is migrating Policy management system to Java based system called Alliance .Three major lines of business COHO, Auto and Property are being migrated from mainframe to Java based application.. The application will be used mainly by the Agents working for the Allstate Insurance Company.

The functionality of the Alliance has to be tested against the functionality of the Mainframe based policy management system as part of this engagement. Additional business requirements (New functionality not in Mainframe) have to be tested as part of this engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Analyze and review the Business requirements

Review existing test cases and tailor them for the new java application.

Create new test cases for the new requirements.

Execute the test cases and Log Defects in HP ALM.

Create transactions and Load Reference data in to the test environments

Extract Transactional data from the database using SQL and validate it against the UI screens.

Created UNIX scripts to copy the transactions from run time execution.

Validate the extracted data against the Getmember data and Getpolicy services using SOAPUI.

This project is to provide the sustenance activity to the Microsoft Windows platform in various flavors of operating systems. This has various Kernel components and User mode components and different applications to test.

My contribution in this project is to provide the enhancement activity for the Stress & Self hosting and File System kernel components. Stress and self hosting is a major component among OLSE which reveals hidden bugs and stability of OS. The Local File System is one of the key kernel components in the Windows right from NT4 to the Server 2003.I am also involved in testing of other File system kernel components like Utilities/System Utilities/Filter Manager/Cache Manager.
