publicly-traded provider of government-sponsored (Medicare and Medicaid) health plans. Range of responsibilities
include media relations, crisis communications, corporate literature, employee communications, community relations,
web and social media initiatives. Focused efforts on growing and reconstructing the corporate communications function
in a post-crisis era. Lead a staff of between 13 and six professionals.
Developed and obtained management buy-in for company’s first over-arching corporate communications plan.
Reorganized department structure, job descriptions and responsibilities to focus on plan implementation.
Managed issues related to past investigations and trials of executives accused of defrauding the government;

Range of responsibilities included executive speechwriting, corporate media relations, issues management, crisis
communications, financial communications (including earnings releases, analyst meetings, annual reports, and annual
shareholders’ meetings), employee communications, community relations, corporate publications, and internet presence.
