Analysis, design, development and implementation of new modules to convert the web application MEDITI (Transaction System for the Medicaid Program of Puerto Rico. Able to detect possible cases of fraud, determine eligibility to Medicaid beneficiaries, manage appointments, application for admission, statistics reports, on line access to beneficiaries and external entities like insurance companies and other federal programs) in the eligibility calculation system for the Medicaid Program of Puerto Rico. Some of the modules implemented were:

Inclusion of an electronic form to enter applications for new families

Inclusion of all Medicaid rules in order to allow the user to determine the eligibility of the family’s real time.

Inclusion of a new calendar module that allows the program to have more flexibility when creating appointments for families that needs to be re-certified.

Inclusion of an integration module to send the data to the Health Insurance Administration Office of Puerto Rico (ASES).

Incorporation of new functionalities to execute batch jobs during the night to update beneficiaries’ information based on the eligibility rules. For example: Set as inactive families who do not recertify before their expiration date.

Inclusion of a new automatic appointment module for the call center integration in MEDITI. All calendar rules and appointment generation handled in a database process that is call from a web form called Auto Appointment Schedule.
