MIRATECH, LLC, Tulsa, OK 2011 –2015

Reported to VP Engineering

Product Development Manager

Managed R&D.

• Designed, procured and implemented a new R&D testing lab, with 50% lower capital cost.

• Hired and trained R&D staff (one engineer, one engine technician and 4 engineering interns).

• Validated numerous new products (emission control devices) through CARB (California Air Resources Board) certification process.

• Tested all supplier's catalysts samples (Oxidation, 3 way, SCR, DPF) for performance and durability. Made final selection recommendations to upper management.

• Generated Intellectual Property. (Various tests reports, US Patents applications, CARB licenses) Johnson Matthey SEC (formerly a Siemens division), Wayne, PA 2001 - 2011 Stationary Engine Emission control division (3 years with JM and 8 years with Siemens) Senior Project Manager

Managed customers projects. Selected Project Snapshots:

• Rescued a large SCR (NOx Selective Catalyst Reduction) project ($7,000,000) in the French West indies from incompetent project management. This project has been successfully completed to the satisfaction of the customer (EDF, a major French Power Utility) and generated 20% profit, instead of an anticipated loss.

• Implemented the first marine SCR system in a US registered vessel (the Alice Austin Ferry, owned by the Port authority of NY-NJ).

• Implemented numerous SCR projects for large (up to 50 megawatts) reciprocating engine generators all over the US and Canada (200+ systems).

• Implemented numerous SCR projects for various Gas Turbines (up to 200 megawatts) all over the US (15 systems).

Capital Project Manager

Developed large Capital projects, with input from marketing and research departments. Prepared financial analysis for each project. Analyzed environmental impact and submitted “permit to operate” and “new source” requests to city, state and federal agencies. Lead project team through complete evolution (PIDs conceptual, capital and cash flow estimates, process equipment selection/design, procurement, building/site design, detailed engineering, contractors bids, construction management, start-up and commissioning, operator / maintenance staff training). For all capital projects: Budget and time schedule were respected. Plants output meet specified targets. Key projects:

• Fluid Cracking Catalyst plants (Two, ranging from $12 to $33 million).

• Hydro-cracking Catalyst plant (One, $49 million).

• Zeolite Z14-US plants (Two, ranging from $8 to $15 million). Achieved cost savings of 20% translating to between $2 and $3 million.

• Modular Plant for Specialty Chemical (Catalyst for High Strength Polymer, $5 million). W.R Grace Davison, Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada 1986 -1991 Director Engineering & Maintenance

Supervised engineering and maintenance staff . Managed maintenance operation/budget. Managed Capital spending for plant expansion ( $12 million ) and held full accountability to VP Canadian Operation. Selected snapshots:

• Developed and implemented better production processes; Achieved 100% increase in plant output, yielding additional production valued at $90,000 per day.

• Implemented monthly test runs, in various full scale production settings, under the supervision of the Grace Research Center staff, Columbia MD. These test runs were scaling up lab experiments for various specialty chemicals formulas.
