QA Analyst

State Farm Financial Services developed an application for State Farm Insurance Agents. The application enabled the customer to get a free online quote instantaneously. This application also enabled the customer service agents of the company to view potential customers’ data. Application involved two modules: First module was ‘OQ’ (online quote) in which the customers could access online by filling a list of fields. The application enabled site personalization by customizing the user space. Second module was the ‘CSR’ module where a customer service representative had detailed information of the online application filled by the customer. The front-end was developed using HTML, ASP and Oracle was used for back-end. The system incorporated site personalization features by customizing user space. Built XML documents by defining the XML schemas and importing the XML data into database using XMLDOM object.

Merck & Co. Inc was implementing their EBOM (Electronic Bill of Material). The application was Client /Server based and allowed the user to initiate procurement of material, services, or rentals. This system was developed to expedite the non-stock purchase by minimizing the number of contacts for additional information. It will provide detailed information to describe the non-stock item being purchased and include all know supplier information. The user can order the non-stock material using different order methods such as Credit Card, Blanket release, or F102. The system had ability to add/delete/update the supplier and their contact information. The system had security features built in such that not all the users can approve the purchase.

Responsibilities:

Designed and developed test plans and test scripts for manual and automated testing of the application under different environments.

Generated Data Driven testing scripts to simulate reiterative user login to check system stability and reliability.

Involved in unit testing and system testing.

Involved in benchmarking the SQL performance.
