Lead product development teams through transformation to predictable and consistent scrum teams. The products centered on Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) and Virtual Desktop Integration (VDI) using KVM/QEMU technologies in an appliance form factor. Managed five scrum teams composed of developers, quality assurance, and technical documentation, planned sprints, held sprint reviews, built product roadmaps with product management, handled customer issues, established quality measures, worked with outside vendors, and active member of product development.

Release Manager in the Human Resources Tower group and manage other projects for internal use. Assumed responsibility for a development team supporting a SAP internal procurement application. Also, started several projects designed around the use of FILENET as a replacement for an aging Lotus Notes application. I coordinated, scheduled, and reported on work between development and quality teams located globally.

Moved product development to Agile Scrum and consistently delivered new business features every two weeks for an internal business critical application. The FASTrack application is core to the business at FAS and is used by over 700+ internal users, 20,000+ external users, and provides integration for several clients. FASView is a data warehouse based solution and provides business decision support to the business. Borland Inc., Austin, TX 2007 - 2009

Senior Director of Development and Certified Scrum Master

Recruited to deliver new products for Borland, drive Agile Scrum development, manage cross team development, and become a Certified Scrum Master. Successfully delivered and sold the TeamAnalytics product. Drove adoption of the our open ALM Framework product internally with other product teams. Scrum Master for three agile teams that developed these products from the ground up. Responsible for the personnel management of all developers, Quality Assurance, and Technical Writers on all three teams; this included reviews, bonuses, hiring, career development, critical feedback, equipment procurement, vendor assessment, 3rd Party partner relationships, field support and training, and sales enablement. Responsible for leading the Dell System Software Technologies and Open Standards Instrumentation Development teams. One team was composed of senior level technologist/strategist that defined and implemented future product features based on industry standards and market demands. The other team implemented DMTF/SMWG CIM standards for Dell servers and storage devices and drives the standards to meet Dell requirements. Prior to this promotion, I was responsible for managing the OMSA software development team, collaborating with product marketing, testing, documentation, and support. The technologies used include C/C++, Java, XSL, XML, web server, SNMP, WMI, CIM, Windows 2K3, Linux 3.0 AS/WS/ES, and NetWare.

Key player in founding the company and selling the idea to our venture capital partners. Ran the product development effort for TruVantage ServiceDesk and Event Manager. Successfully delivered our first version of the product that resulted in an additional two million in funding. Conducted customer demonstrations and onsite installation. A data warehouse solution for business decision support such as capacity planning, quality, and cost. Leveraged internally developed ETL tool and Business Objects reporting.
