A company involved in the machining and manufacturing assembly production of Fluid Controls and Landing Gear Actuation systems for Aerospace, Military and Industrial applications.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer: Ensured precise, cost-efficient manufacturing operations by creating and revising production planning, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers following product drawing requirements. Designed innovative assembly fixtures/tooling and test fixtures. Reviewed and evaluated production for possible improvements to fabrication and assembly processes.

Incorporated process improvements with the design and implementation of over thirty assembly/fabrication/handling/test fixtures that cut production time and/or eliminated damage to assemblies from the use of improper tooling/holding fixtures.

Submitted EA/ECR’s to Engineering requesting corrections to drawings/assembly documentation used for the assembly and testing of various Fluid Control valves.

Made changes to Assembly Processes and Test Manuals, as required, to reflect process/test procedure improvements.

Supported production of New Product and Overhaul System Return with production and rework planning for the largest contract within the fascility.

Reviewed and provided rework instructions for the majority of Non-Conforming Material (NCM) documents written against Production and Overhaul systems for the contract on which I was supporting.

UTC Aerospace/Hamilton Sundstrand, Pomona, California ● 2009-2013

A UTAS company involved in the design and manufacturing of Mass Spectrometers and various Atmosphere Monitoring Systems for military, space and commercial applications.

Manufacturing Engineer: Ensured precise, cost-efficient manufacturing operations by creating and revising production planning, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers following product drawing requirements. Analyzed product drawings to verify manufacturability of the design and to assess quality requirements. Designed innovative assembly and test fixtures. Reviewed and evaluated production for possible improvements to fabrication and assembly processes.

Obtained the Achieving Competetive Excellence (ACE) Associate Certification in 2011 which included the completion of all required ACE courses and event activities.

Incorporated process improvements with the design and implementation of eight assembly/fabrication/handling fixtures that cut production time and/or eliminated pre-existing rework due to improper handling.

Participated in seven Review Root Cause Analysis (RRCA) activities to evaluate and eliminate recurring rework of nonconforming material.

Supported production of New Product and Overhaul System Return with production and rework planning for the largest contract within the fascility.

Reviewed and provided rework instructions for the majority of Non-Conforming Material (NCM) documents written against Production and Overhaul systems for the contract on which I was supporting.
