MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROJECTS:

Automated Computer Monitor Platform Design, fall 2014

Determined the essential functions of the product by identifying the needs of the end user via direct observation in medical and business settings.

Analyzed each alternative using PTC Creo parametric and Creo simulate to select best option on quality of performance, strength of product and the ease and cost of manufacturing.

Prepared 72 page proposal detailing cost and performance analysis as well as rationalize for selected prototype design.

Build CAD model of Automated Computer Monitor Platform, spring 2015

Using PTC Creo, a CAD model for the platform was created explaining the manufacturing processes for each part.

Critical parts were tested for factor of safety using SOLIDWORKS express simulation.

Bill of material for the entire product was produced using the McMaster-Carr and SOLIDWORKS material property and pricing.

Kawasaki Impact Wrench Design, fall 2014

Analyzed power tool by dissecting it and identified design revisions for the optimization of wrench by increasing the mass of hammer to increase its performance.

Constructed Creo solid model for the parts and tested using Creo Simulate and numerical calculation to validate the strength of torque produced by tool.

Optimization of Logrite ATV Arch, spring 2014

Analyzed structure and selected suitable materials based on strength, factor of safety and cost using PTC Creo simulate for the log rite ATV arch.

Constructed Creo solid model, performed finite element analysis and forwarded product proposal for the ATV arch manufacturing company.

RESEARCH WORK

Validation of stress concentration factors of filleted solid cylindrical rod and plates with the aid of SOLIDWORKS simulation
