ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Main Project:

Project Title: “CASTING AND THERMAL DESIGN ANALYSIS ON WINDMIL HUB.”

Description: The project was done at AUTOKAST Ltd. Cherthala, Kerala to study the casting designs of windmill hub. The stresses and thermal properties were analysed using Auto-Cad software. Casting defects on the existing products were also checked by non destructive testing -ultrasonic testing.

Seminar:

Presented a paper presentation on the topic “EJECTION SEATS IN COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFTS” at SJCET,(13/08/2014)

Industrial Visits:

1. Our first industrial visit was to ‘Kanan Devan Tea Factory’ at Munnar, Kerala. A brief study of the procedures and the machines involved in making of tea product was given.

2.Our second industrial visit was to ‘Kerala Automobiles Ltd’ situated at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Different machines, automobile parts and processes involved in the production of Auto-Rickshaws were studied.
