● Coordinated a impactful program for Playworks DC by attempting to bring out the best in every kid at Hendley Elementary School located in Southeast DC. Created and obtained a healthy, fun and inclusive climate by supporting the social and learning skills of 550 students throughout the school day with recess, class game time and after school with developmental league sports and leadership trainings.

● Managed community recreation center for Wells /Linson Complex located in College Park MD. Directed and assisted staff to complete all assigned duties. Maintained, opening/closing facility, prepared and responded to emergency operations and performed Emergency Action Plan, cashier and work proficiency audits. Assisted all staff with any difficulties, filled out and completed daily and weekly deposits, and completed class, rental, event and sign up registrations for patrons and community members.

● Instructed, motivated, encouraged, and inspired 57 personal clients and over 95 gym members by finding a specific regimen that satisfied their fitness goals at Xsport Fitness in Arlington VA and World Gym of Waldorf MD. Educated clients and members on posture, form, nutrition, supplements and being consistent to achieve lifestyle health and fitness goals.

● Coached a competing youth swim team which held 33 swimmers total ranging from ages 7 to 16 years old. Supported, motivated and pushed young athletes to want to get better by working hard and staying focused. Taught technique and form with consistency and repetition for execution in Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly to meet competition demands.

● Taught patrons and community recreation members at Wells /Linson Complex and Lifetime Fitness in Columbia MD water safety and survival skills for all ages and all swimming abilities. Simplified and reintroduced the mechanics of swimming for every swimming stroke rather for leisure or recreational swimming or competition.

● Coached and trained 3 one dimensional athletes who were runners, swimmer and cyclist at Lifetime Fitness to prepare and condition for an amature triathlon race. Taught athletes to be time conscious with each event individually and collectively. Showed comparison for each event against the others with cardio endurance, muscular endurance, tempo/ pace, comfort and ability, and slack and weakness.

Team Work

● Supported Hendley Elementary maintain structure, order and timeliness with helping 550 students line up, sit down and eat or dump food along with quieting down for announcements during breakfast, and 3 lunch periods. Monitored 3rd and 4th grade hallways and directed 120 students to go to class in a quiet and timely manner. Ensured that students picked up siblings and went directly home during school dismissal. Assisted during PARCC testing by making sure all students received and understood test instructions and maintained focus during testing.

● Partnered with outside community organizations for a collaboration in supporting the school community by showing students, teachers, parents and community patrons that we cared and wanted them to be successful.

● Spoke to and gave facility tours and detailed information to potential gym members about World Gym. Listened to all the needs and wants and showed potential members all things that met the needs and interest while invited them to sign up for a gym membership. Consulted with all members and potential members about a free training session which later discussed the essential needs of having the guidance of a fitness trainer to educate, train and assist them along the way of obtaining their health and fitness goals. Resulting in a 4% increase in membership signups and a 9% increase in members signing up for personal training.

● Attentively greeted, responded and answered to all staff and customers in a timely manner and with respect, willing to lend a hand to my team members and customers whenever capable. Sought out to find staff to answer or fix a problems if unable to do so, observed how to respond to particular situations and ensured to teach the method to team or staff if they didn't know the correct response.

● Helped plan, set up and cleanup for any big recreational events held by Wells/Linson Complex. Passed out flyers to local elementary, middle and high schools about all event upcoming. Helped outside organizations fundraise with fun recreation activities which produced more sales and exposure.
