Providing care to patients in an emergency situation
Administering emergency procedures e.g. code blue and CPR
Performing CPR to coded patients and application of defibrillation or the use of a temporary pacemaker as needed
Able to perform the techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and efficiently
Acting fast and thinking on their feet
Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitor, mechanical ventilators and alarms, oxygen delivery devices transducers and pressure lines.
Able to make quick and accurate decisions, have experience in emergency medical care, conflict resolution and also demonstrate confident leadership qualities.
Collaborate with other health care professionals to develop and revise treatment plans based on identified needs and assessment data.
Assist physicians with procedures such as endotracheal intubation, elective cardioversion, CTT insertion
Managing time will allow you to confidently complete your duties in an organized manner.
Can take pride in knowing quick thinking and decision making abilities will provide quality care in your health care facility, even while multitasking.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
> assesses the patient’s overall physical appearance upon receiving the patient
> provide rapid assessment and treatment to patients in the initial phase of illness or trauma and often in life threatening situations.
> have the ability to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions
> Identify the medical problem. Document medical history, check for any allergies and current medications, obtains height, weight, body temperature, heart rate and blood pressure
> carry out the order of the physician that is necessary for the patients.
> Knowledgeable of the physiological, psychosocial, learning, previous health condition and spiritual information of the patient and his/her family.
> prepares the patient and family how to take care of self when at home and when would be the next appointment with the doctor if necessary.
> make sure that the patient and his family understand the doctor’s discharge instructions. QUALIFICATIONS:
Hard working, open minded, extrovert, well disciplined, patient and very willing to learn Fluent in English and Filipino.
Knowledgeable in patient care management, basic life support, first aid, bandaging and disaster management.
A good leader and a follower.
