1.Project participant – Aircraft Stability and Control/Aeroelasticity
Capstone Design Project: “Aerios” UAV
Ryerson University, Toronto, ON
Designed the empennage section of the aircraft, and sizing of control surfaces
Performed the aeroelastic and stability analysis of the aircraft system
Conducted theoretical flight tests and verified results to be in compliance with FAA regulations
Familiar with ground vibration testing procedures
Calculations and analyses were performed using MATLAB and CATIA software
All procedures and results were in compliance with FAA (Part 23) and Transport Canada standards to ensure the aircraft system was airworthy.
2.UAV – “AgriScan”
Together with a team of 7 students, designed a fixed wing UAV to monitor the health of agricultural crops, carry out search and rescue operations, patrolling and surveillance tasks.
3.Aircraft Aeroelastic Analysis
Performed the aeroelastic analysis of a given aircraft wing configuration by studying its divergence and flutter behaviour throughout the flight envelope.
STUDENT DESIGN TEAMS AND CLUBS:
1.CANSAT 2011-2012
Satellite Design Competition jointly organized by NASA, AIAA and other leading Aerospace organizations
Designed the lander circuit as per the requirements
Designed the lander egg protection system
2.CANSAT 2010-2011
Designed the sensor sub-system
Integrated the sensor sub-system with the top-level CanSat using Arduino microprocessor
3.Ryerson Radio Control Club – Founder
The club is open for all engineering students and offers them an opportunity to learn to design and fly radio control airplanes and helicopters.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Placed on to the Dean’s list for the academic year 2013-2014
Participated in “International Young Mathematicians’ Convention” on behalf of the school and won the Gold Medal.
