Executive Assistant, Assurant, Atlanta, GA December 2003 – Present

Responsible for all activities for the SVP and his team of 3 Vice Presidents which comprises of the following:

oCoordination of meetings and day to day activities, and also maintaining their schedules, calendars, and to do’s.

oPerform a myriad of duties which include, but are not limited to, travel and schedule planning, email monitoring, performance plan management, and expense management, which includes the reconciliation of Corporate Credit Cards.

Responsible for the coordination of Office meetings for vendors and clients which includes:

oCoordinating corporate luncheons, reserving conference rooms, and preparing required materials such as:

Agendas, reports, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides.

Other administrative duties consist of processing vendor invoices through the accounting system, taking minutes for meetings and special events, as well as updating organization charts.

Order, maintain, and inventory supplies for a department consisting of approximately 50 employees.

Accomplishments:

Responsible for the content, production, and distribution of the department’s quarterly newsletter. Research topics of interest, author various articles, and write others, ensuring the newsletter is distributed timely.

Created an Administrative Manual consisting of administrative duties to ensure routine tasks are accomplished in the absence of the Executive Assistant

Administrative Coordinator, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA January - February 2003

Coordinated and scheduled all meetings for the staff, providers, and Source/Department of Community Health using GroupWise.

Created, modified, and maintained the active, inactive, referral and evaluation databases for all Source patients using Filemaker Pro.

Provided assistance to the Lead Case Manager in maintaining the budget, office supplies, the orientation of new employees with computer training, typing of minutes of meetings, and maintaining employee files.

United States Army 1982 – 2002

Responsibilities included numerous supervisory and management positions in the Personnel Admiration field.

Personnel Manager, United States Army, Fort Gordon, GA 1999 – 2002

Managed a staff of 25 employees responsible for “new hire” orientation and coordination of specific skills training for over 6,000 personnel annually.

Managed staff responsible for oversight of all private personnel records and handling of HR generalist type inquiries including payroll administration, benefits administration and various deployment related issues.

Advised senior managers at all levels on issues pertaining to personnel in training.

Supervised the daily operations of a Human Resources Center responsible for processing Leaves of Absence, assisting with Payroll issues and other Administrative actions, supporting over 1,200 employees.

Responsible for keeping the staff updated on new policies and procedures by conducting various training and developmental classes.

Ensured each staff member was cross-trained in all positions in the office, which enhanced and improved production.

Implemented a tracking system using Microsoft Excel, which resulted in the organization processing over 300 personnel evaluations ensuring all deadlines were made.

Conducted numerous presentations to military personnel and was responsible for the preparation, selection of content and graphical design of senior officer briefings.
