Business Process Analyst – Alternate Asset Management 08/2014 – Present

The Alternative Asset Servicing department (AAS) is responsible for supporting a group of defined assets that are generally not exchange traded. AAS processes cash movements, corporate actions and accounting entries, updates fund valuations, collects and reconciles against fund statements, audits client reporting and responds to queries from clients, internal partners and fund companies. Additionally, in some cases AAS executes trades. The scope of the project is to address the gaps and issues with the current Transitions (client onboarding), transaction (Capital calls, stock distribution, Cash distribution) processes, valuations/PLT process and Audit/ Reconciliation process. Based on the analysis of gaps in the AAS process capabilities and business processes, issues like manual and risk laden process are eliminated, process optimization, and improved quality controls. The objective of the project is to enhance the work flows and improve productivity at levels of the PE processes. Key change management issues identified and optimized are late inaccurate transaction processing, Integration of the current system with external systems like Fund master, IMS, GCM, PRS, AIP, WSO, Northern Image, TOE. Enhance global operating model that is not US centric (currency and time centric processes) and systems to close processing gaps.

Project Scope: Optum Care Suite combines patient medical information from several sources including Electronic Medical Record (EMR), practice management, Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT), and payer claims records into a single data stream. Then OCS applies analytics and decision-support tools to help understand and meet patient needs. It integrates claims and clinical data into the calculation of prospective patient risk scores, which provide risk of things such as future hospitalization or readmission. It includes registries for diagnoses such as Heart Failure and Diabetes; automatic/rules generated patient nomination into appropriate Care Coordination Programs, workflow management for care coordinators, and multiple reporting options to help effectively manage patient care.
