Support personnel possess an in-depth knowledge of specific department functions (i.e. scheduling, Mammography,

Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, MRI, CT, image file maintenance, etc

Provide general clerical support and serves as a resource individual for imaging support personnel. Possess an in-depth

Retrieve or instruct patients to obtain prior images or medical records pertinent for review at the time of testing.

Maintains and retrieves patient records in accordance with hospital / departmental policies governing patient confidentiality.

Obtain and input pertinent patient demographic and insurance data, as required, for patient registration and billing. Possess

knowledge of pre-authorization requirements for imaging procedures.

Utilize computer system to enter, retrieve, edit and print data as required.

Expeditiously compile documentation needed to process patient upon arrival. Prepare departmental reports, forms, and

miscellaneous forms as required.
