Employment History:

Manor House: Chef de partie (January 2014-January 2015) A popular hotel in the highlands

of Scotland with 4 stars and one AA rosette. I was a Chef De Partie my duties where to

prepare three desserts for each day that i was allowed to come up with myself as well as

helping with prep for all other dishes i would also do the starters during service then move on

to the desserts as well as this i had a chef under me that I would utilize also.

Taychreggan hotel: Commis chef (February 2013-January 2014) A prestigious small country

house hotel with 4 stars and two AA rosettes. I was a commis chef my duties were to help

with prep and also kitchen hand duties but for the last 6 months I was the pastry chef and was

in charge of making the desserts for the restaurant which meant a new one every day. i also

made pre desserts as well as sweets for afternoon tea.

Catch 22: Kitchen Hand/Trainee chef (November 2012 – February 2013) Duties were as

kitchen hand and also doing prep such as all veg, deserts and sauces. I also covered the pizza

section on the regular chef’s days off, learning to plan and work in a busy environment on my

own and take full responsibility for the food going out.

M On The Point: Kitchen Hand (February 2011 – July 2012 Main Duties: To ensure all

kitchen equipment including floors, walls, fridges, cookers, ovens and work surfaces were

thoroughly cleaned. Contribute to the preparation of vegetables on a daily basis. I also

worked alongside the chefs and when we were really busy I was in charge of the desert

section on a number of occasions.

Challenger Institute of Technology (catering section): Feb 2010- Dec 2012

Attended college to achieve my professional hospitality certificates (chef’s papers) I also took

part in the much acclaimed Margaret River Gourmet Escape 2012. Working alongside some

well-known chefs such as Australian chefs; Neil Perry, Tetsuya Wakuda and Peter Gilmore

and internationally renowned chefs Matt Moran, Matt Stone, AA Gill and George

Calombaris.

I also completed this while working at the above two mentioned establishments which

involved long days with very little time off, this not only drove my appetite to succeed but

made me a very strong willed character in the workplace.

Café Pronto Kitchen hand (July 2009 - Dec 2010)

I worked as a kitchen hand as well as doing prep such as meat prep and making salads. This

was my first real taste of cooking and being part of a kitchen brigade, this was when I

decided I wanted to become a chef working with food and getting the satisfaction of

achieving good standards that I could take throughout my career.

Silver Trowel Trade Training: Completed Certificate III in Brick/Block laying (July 2008 –

July 2009) Training in the skills of bricklaying and block laying.

Mandurah Quays Resort: Kitchen Hand (February 2008 – June 2008) Main Duties: To

ensure all cutleries, crockery, glassware and kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and

returned to the original storage position. Contribute to the preparation of all the vegetables on

a daily basis which has helped me obtain good knife skills. Ensure floors, walls, fridges,

cookers, ovens and work surfaces were cleaned.

Hobbies and Interests:

I enjoy going to the cinema regularly and watching DVD’s, dining out, watching sport

(particularly soccer), playing board games and Xbox live.

Personal Statement:

I am happy to work on my own initiative or in a team environment. I learn quickly when

given the appropriate training and leadership. With studying in a foreign country (Australia) I

learned how to work alongside a multitude of different nationalities and cultures and made

me a very adaptable chef.
