Instrumentation Engineer at Pharmatech Equipments(Manufacturing Unit)

Job Description:

o Perform Preventive maintenance(PM) and Corrective maintenance(CM) task

as specified and make the report to the maintenance manager as the

job.

o Working with shut down activities like PM job calibration, gas

checking and filling, compressor checkup, motor checkup of heavy

equipments.

o Calibration of all types of heavy equipments( Using PT100 sensor).

o Perform Autoclave in different equipments at different client sites.

o Responsibilites include supervising, installation of instruments,

inspection of work quality and mention conformity with project

standard and specification.

o Installation, Maintenance, Calibration and validation of heavy

equipments like walkin cooling and humidity chambers and photo

stability chambers at different client sites like BIOCON(using PLC

Allen Bradley 1400 Series).

o Development and implementation of PM plans for all instrument

equipment to ensure effectiveness of operation.

o Provide trouble shooting of all instrument equipment problems which is

related to maintenance problems.

o Experience of installation, trouble shooting and maintenance of all

related instrumentation.

Internship (Main Project done at HOCL, Cochin)

o Using an Elliot compressor Control System an interlocking heavy

equipment plant is translated into a PLC based control system(using

PLC Allen Bradley 1200 series)

o Elliot is an American based company, which earned reputation for

providing innovative solutions in the field of turbo machinery.

o Significance of using Elliot compressor is its consistency & trouble

free operation, economic cost effectiveness.

o The compressor works in multistage which has a high discharge pressure

of 7kg/cm^2.The interlocking relay based multistage compressor is

converted into PLC(Allen Bradley 1200 Series).

o Electrical relay base control system can be translated to a modern

electronic control system.

o The interlocking relay based multistage Elliot compressor was

converted into PLC(Allen Bradley 1200 Series).

Mini Project

o Intelligent Agriculture System- electronic version of conventional

irrigation methods.

o Programmed Microcontroller (PIC16F877D) can be used for this.

o Microcontroller checks the soil moisture content, sensor electrode

circuit is interfaced with microcontroller.

o Motor operates automatically by the previously installed program.

Academic Projects

o Project Title: "ELLIOT COMPRESSOR CONTROL SYSTEM IN PLC"

Description: Using an Elliott compressor Control System an

interlocking circuit heavy equipment plant is translated into a PLC based

control system. The system is running with relay logic. Temperature

measurement, pressure measurement, vibration monitoring and all the high

value set and tripping with a good electrical interlock is used for the

safety of the motor and equipment. This requirement will be established by

using Programmable logic control.

o Project Title: "INTELLIGENT AGRICULTURE SYSTEM"

Description: The project is to create an 'intelligent

agriculture system' which operate automatically based on the moisture

content of the soil. The 'Intelligent Agricultural System' works according

to the soil moisture content. Irrigation can be done automatically without

the interference of man. The Intelligent Agriculture System-electronic

version of conventional irrigation methods. A programmed microcontroller

can be used for this purpose.

Seminar

o Title: "INSTRUMENTATION FOR BETTER LIFE AND HEALTH CARE"

Description: This demonstrates the implementation of

Instrumentation for providing better life and health care. This seminar

describes major techniques such as Portable fluorescence life time imaging

microscope, Cell proliferation analyzer, Ultra sensitive field effect

transistor.
