Mitek USA Incorporated: Industrial Engineering Intern November 2014-

Optimized the storage area of steel coils to improve the
accessibility of the various sizes maximizing space allocated to the
coils and by organizing each depending on the quantity ordered in
the previous year
Designed a new process of creating a pallet by creating a device
that attaches to the machine to allow the process to be completed by
one operator thus reducing it from the previous requirement of two.
Produce a sketch of the entire facility to create a way to analyze
and improve the spacing of the entire floor to allow new additions
of equipment and inventory.
Work Related Experience:
Collaborated with three classmates to forge a company based around a
hybrid power strip. Market analysis was performed and the
information obtained was presented periodically.
Project leader of a group which designed a medical device to assist
surgeons by improving the stability of the ultrasound during
operation. Interdisciplinary collaboration with a leading breast
cancer surgeon from the Moffit Cancer Center was used throughout the
project.
