I am searching to find a position within a company that would best be able to utilize my varied

experience and knowledge in a manner meaningful to both the company and myself.

What I Would Like To Do

I would like to manage a small to medium sized group of people working in a manufacturing,

maintenance or engineering environment. I desire to work for a company that gives their

managers the control and support necessary to match the required responsibility of the position.

What I Have Done Up To Now

Dept. Manager I managed (until 12/30/05) the Systems Software Department (up to 6

contract and direct programmers) for the world leader in the oil and gas

measurement industry. I previously managed the Electronic Engineering

Group with 30 personnel for the same company.

General Manager I managed the overall operation of a small company that was a principle

manufacturer of measuring equipment in the metrology industry.

Technical Sales I was an International Sales Executive in Scotland responsible for oil and

gas measurement and control systems in the Middle East region.

Software I was the principle software engineer for the crude oil measurement

control systems for the Alyeska Pipeline, the Aramco East West Pipeline,

and the Iraq – Turkey crude oil pipelines.

Engineering I worked several years as an Electronic Design Engineer and Logic

Designer, from the PCB design level up to complex control system panels.

Customer Service I have personally performed over 50 on-site startup and commissioning of

large computer-based control systems throughout the world.

Project Manager I have managed numerous $1M to $5M measurement and control system

projects.

Educational Background

1. After High School, I joined the USAF and attended an electronics and aircraft systems

technical school for 9 months. I attended numerous aircraft-specific schools during my 4

year commitment. I attended the University of Maryland (off campus) for 2 years,

working towards a degree in Math.

2. I attended Orange Coast College and Saddleback College in California for a total of 3

years. I elected to take courses that would be of the most benefit to perform the work I

was involved with at the time, so I enrolled in courses in Fortran, advanced Algebra,

Calculus and Contract Law.

My Personal Skills, Abilities And Knowledge

1. I have very good computer skills and expertise with all Microsoft products, including all

versions of Windows, MSDOS, MSOffice and Frontpage.

2. I have several years experience programming AB-500 / 5550 and GE 90-30 PLCs and

limited experience with Intellution HMI software / Visual Basic. I am familiar with the

Daniel / Emerson Dan-Pac control system design.

3. I have over 10 years experience using iRMX and QNX real-time operating systems using

Fortran and the C programming languages.

4. I am very familiar with most brands of flow computers, especially Omni 6000 and Daniel

2500 units. I have some familiarity with the newer S600 Flo-Boss flow computers.

5. I am experienced with most low to medium voltage electrical and electronic design and

testing. This includes everything from PCB level to three phase power distribution (up to

480VAC).

6. I am familiar with machine shop equipment (milling, lathes) and pipe and structural steel

fabrication and assembly.

7. I consider myself to have good written and oral communication skills.

8. I am a USAF veteran (4 years) with an honorable discharge.

9. I am a good problem solver and look for solutions ‘outside the box’ when required.

10. As a manager, I develop people to work independently and make decisions for

themselves. I strongly believe in the empowerment of personnel to do their work better

and actively participate in changing the system to increase the quality level of their job

and the product or services.
