WORK EXPERIENCES

Dish Network Call Center; Echosphere Inc. (Jan. 2006- Feb. 2008)

Job title: Technical service representative (TSR) III

1701 Fairway Dr.

Alvin, TX 77511

Dish Network takes pride in their excellence in customer service, rewarded by the J.D.

Power and Associates Co. for many years. With this company, there was always a

unique drive for outstanding customer service that began in training. A TSR is

responsible for helping customers that are having technical difficulty with their satellite

services. I continued to advance my position with in the company and became a TSRIII

within 9 months, working on becoming supervisor of my own team, what we call a

coach. As a TSRIII, I held a more prominent role in customer service with unique

challenges from researching your heart out with a cooperative customer for over an

hour, to helping walk another through an install (which you know nothing about)… that

is angry and uncooperative and “has been through this a thousand times with other

TSRs” and don’t want to give you a chance. I was the one that got the last transfer to

find a way to fix the really complicated tasks or save the customer before they

disconnected. This required a high level of dedication to resolving accurately and

efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction. It was not always an easy task.

CITGO (2006-2006)

Job Title: Gas Station Attendant

Highway 6

Alvin, TX 77511

As a gas station attendant, I held a lot more different duties that rotated with other

employees through out the week. Daily tasks included the control of delivery of gas and

customer’s paying, taking care of the register, restocking outer shelves, keeping

counters stocked, keeping the front clean and orderly, cleaning machines, etc. Weekly

we rotated on stocking the cooler, bagging the ice, cleaning the bathrooms & trash duty.

It was also a requirement to be certified by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission

(TABC) because we were distributing alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

Olive Garden; Darden Restaurants Inc. (2004-2006)

Job Title: Server/Hostess/CA

1310 West Bay Area Blvd.

Friendswood, TX 77546

I began as a server at the Olive Garden and learned a hard lesson about hard work and

being in a constant rush. Most of the workers were all really close and really looked out

for each other. We all became one big family and working with those close ties and

respect, really made a difference in the work experience. I would have to say that this

was my most favorite, exhausting, best job because I liked the pace, the teamwork, and

the experiences with new customers. The knowledge I gained of fine Italian pastas and

wine paring to extend the Italian’s genuinely robust flavors. As a team we were

responsible for providing customers with the most enjoyable experience with unique

insights into fine wine and dinning. The knowledge of the wine and how they pair and

complement with specific meals is the key factor in enhancing the customer’s

experience. I also occasionally hosted as well as help out in the kitchen as culinary

assistant (CA) to control ticket times and the delivery of quality, fresh food in a timely

manner. Many customers loved to customize dishes to better fit their tastes, which

brought interesting twists that advanced my culinary knowledge and made me love to

cook. It was very fast paced in the kitchen, but more stationary. I learned real fast that

communication with all staff was an essential key in the control of the window.
