Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyzes blueprints, specifications drawings and sketches to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts and tooling, setup and sequence of operations.

• Input program, install and align jaws, install tools, setup the machine (set work offsets, Zero reference point, tool length offset). Run and adjust machining factors such as speed, feed rates, depth of cuts, offsets, cutter comps, and tolerances as per drawing and specifications. Check part for 1st article.

• Use all measuring instruments (calipers, micrometer, pins, pitch micrometers, height gages, go no go pins, comparator, etc.) required to check parts and maintain quality during machining.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and manufacturing procedures and ability to work verbal or written instructions.

• Contribute team goals by communicating ideas, suggestions, and assistance. Does own share of work necessary to complete projects, provide and seek constructive feedbacks

• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs whenever necessary and maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
