OBJECTIVE To obtain a challenging position as a structural

engineer in an interactive environment.

EDUCATION EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY (ERAU)

Daytona Beach, FL

Master of Science in Aerospace

Engineering, CGPA 3.27/4.0

May 2015

ANNA UNIVERSITY

Tamil Nadu, India

Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, CGPA

3.62/4.0 June 2011

PROJECT Analysis of BOEING 767 Winglets - Tested and

analyzed different mode frequencies generated for different

EXPERIENCE 'Winglet Cant Angles' using FEMAP/NEiNastran

Software. Utilized Boeing 767 characteristics and data.

Determination of

Natural frequencies of a Multiple Degree of Freedom system -

Calculated the natural frequencies

Of a 4 Degree of

Freedom Semi- definite system carrying disks. Calculated the

equations of motion of the system.

Used MATLAB program

to compute the natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes

Thermal Stress Analysis of a Bi-Metallic strip - Performed

a thermal analysis on a Bi-Metallic strip of given

dimension. Applied Loads to calculate the stress and

applied temperature on both the surface of the strip to

calculate the temperature distribution. Used FEMAP/

NEiNastran software to validate the result.

Structural Analysis of Nose Landing Gear - Performed

structural analysis of a landing gear using CATIA and ANSYS

Mechanical APDL 14.5. Obtained an analytical solution using

MATLAB and hand calculations. Compared the results obtained

from commercial software (CATIA/ ANSYS) with the hand

calculations to validate the results and to check the

airworthiness of the landing gear.

Morphing wing using Macro Fiber

Composite Actuators - Designed a morphing wing model with

suitable dimensions using CATIA V-5 and analyzed its

effects when the model is subjected to load or force using

ANSYS.

Reinforced Macro Fiber Composite

with Carbon Fiber Composite for Aerospace applications -

Designed a material which can amplify the purpose of MFC's

by providing extra stiffness and sturdiness needed for

various engineering applications like designing UAV's,

defense research and aerospace industry.

Systems Engineering Project - Used

CORE 9 software to develop and manage the basic

requirements, functions, synthesis/architecture and

verification of a Dragan Flyer model. Constructed a context

diagram ( inputs, outputs, constraints/controls and

enablers/resources. Constructed a concept map using IHMC

CMap tool to identify the needs and problems of the model.
