Supporting sales and engineering for multicore processor designs at

customers in Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland) and Europe. Presenting the

cavium chip together with sales doing demos to customers. Generally

contributing to the multicore processing community and assisting to isolate

and fix important problems that come from customers, in particular NSN

India, Germany and Finland, Cisco, Packetfront, and Ericsson.

Embedded SW: supported customer demos with traffic generation software that

showed the capability of Cavium 688x/66xx hardware, and did HW measurements

under processing with multiple configurations... supporting 10 & 40 Gbps

XAUI/DXAUI optical Ethernet interfaces.

EMBEDDED SW MANAGER/NSN / 2012 - 2013

Worked as an embedded software, engineering technical manager on ATCA

projects for advanced LTE networks and hardware/software design for new

embedded systems in mgw, packet gateways.

Embedded SW: managed the resolution of bugs between the NSN testing teams

and 3rd party ODMs who supplied the embedded SW for ATCA blades and

Ethernet Switch (Broadcom based) blades being developed for MGW, RNC, and

routing products at NSN, this entailed managing the work delegation of

issues that were at root caused by ODM eSW vs issues that were dependent

only on NSN proprietary SW. For example, doing eSW upgrades from older WR

Linux 2.* systems to newer 4.* versions, some fundamental changes in ODM

eSW were needed.

Embedded SW: Over the years at Agere/LSI, I helped customers develop and

debug their own embedded software for NP applications including code

written in C, as well as in proprietary NP languages for implementing

certain high speed functionality on network traffic. I also developed demo

code that operated in a basic denx / generic Linux OS environment and

debugged multifarious issues in test bed computers as well as productized

environments. Interfaces for these NPs were ATM, PCI and Ethernet.

SW ENGINEER/Nokia (Nokia Telecommunications, Nokia Networks), Helsinki,

Senior R&D Engineer, Hardware Development/ Embedded software, developed

network software for GSM, GPRS, 3G platforms, transcoder interface units,

ATM, TDM, and development of network interface hardware and developed

driver software for a variety of platforms

Embedded SW: Over the years at NSN, I worked on a variety of embedded

platforms where I both developed and debugged SW and HW issues related to

2G and 3G platforms. Most of this work was in C, but some code was in C++

or assembly or other various languages such as PLM, Java, etc.

I am a US citizen originally who has lived in Finland for the last 19

years working in the area of telecommunications. I have also gained

Finnish citizenship, so I'm a dual citizen. I recently moved back to

the US, near Asheville, North Carolina, and am trying to find a new

job that leads me in the direction of applying my language skills to

potential new career areas for me.

I am open to all new opportunities that allow me to live and work in

the United States, but what I would really love is to have the

opportunity to do something interesting in the area of language
