“DESIGN OF ASSEMBLY LINE LAYOUT FOR A MACHINERY MANUFACTURING PLANT ”

A mathematical model for a manual assembly plant was developed for effective transportation of materials

in and around the assembly line between different sections. The model was developed on the basis of the interaction

of all sections in the assembly plant.

B.TECH PROJECT (5 months)

“STRUCTURAL OPTIMIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF UPRIGHT OF A FORMULA SAE RACE CAR ”

A structural optimization and analysis of wheel upright s in a Formula SAE car was carried out in order to

reduce its weight and to understand the previous design failures. The work involved a detailed study of uprights

from its purpose to its manufacturing methods including comparison with other models, the cu rrent design and its

causes for failure and finally developing a new model for the car.

presented paper on “Modelling and Analysis of manual assembly plant layout for effective
