TEST ENGINEER

• Tested company's Fugitive Emissions performance (unwanted spurious leakage) of the entire product line of

valves and fittings, prioritized by sales volume, for Engineering Compliance.

• Proficient in interpreting and applying ISO 15848-1:2008, TA-Luft VDI 2114 and EPA 21 test standards.

• Assessed valves and fittings by calculating theoretical stem and body leakage and permeability from

SolidWorks, experimental data constants and sealing material selection. Consulted with product experts.

• Procured valves, fittings and parts by learning CONTROL MRP system.

• Used Adixen T-182 helium leak detector spectrometer and custom specified and manufactured glovebox for

controlled atmospheric conditions. Designed fixtures custom built by company machine shop.

• Tested products up to 10,000 psi pressure nitrogen and helium

• Tested product development prototypes for Shell TAMAP project, the largest oil refinery in the world, Pearl, in

Qatar. Taught unique methods to R&D in Highland Heights, OH and trained replacement.

• Awarded "Design Sketch of the Year" award in 1990.

• Provided key evidence of SteamVac product uniqueness & performance resulting in 3 successful patent

design infringement suits and millions of dollars in royalties.

• Partnered with Elco, Allied, Dupont & Monsanto, developing an industry-wide approved reformulation,

resulting in the savings of $273,000.

• Synthesized ethnography results into proposals accepted for final successful bare floor cleaner. Defended TV

advertisements on cleaning carpet, spots and stains.

• Authored 15 hot-water extraction tests used to evaluate performance and determine acceptable standards,

including co-creating "Wet Cleaning Effectiveness Test" proposed to ASTM F-11 Subcommittee.

• Originally hired as Engineer I in 1987, earned Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification, 1988, and was

promoted to Senior Engineer, 1991.
