DUTIES:

As an Operations Assistant, I serve as the lead point of contact for the day to day front

office operations of a Child Development Center. I perform a variety of administrative and

clerical functions including, but not limited to, typing and office automation. I coordinate

with CDC management to establish CDC schedule and appointment availability. At

Even though I was only at the teen center for a short period of time, I quickly learned everything I

needed to succeed at my job. I learned the open and closing procedures of the teen center, how

to get to know the teens and talk to them on a personal level helping lead them in the right

direction toward their futures. I completed money handling, food handling and three other

trainings geared toward child development. I also typed up memos and handled the entire

secretary like work in the front office.

I loved my job so much, if we had not pcs'd to Japan I would of never left my job. I started blue

cross as a claims processor, I learned how to process medical and well as dental claims in a few

months, after a year of claims I couldn't handle the repetitiveness of claims processing. so I

applied for a customer advocate job which is a customer service job in the company, I received

the promotion and again quickly mastered my job. I answered phone calls from providers,

insurance companies, patients as well as pharmacies to answer questions or help process claims

along. I was quick to resolve any deferrals and assist with other staffs on difficult calls or claims

that were stuck in our system. At my year mark as a customer advocate I was promoted to a

customer advocate II I helped train new hire employees and tested the automated system or voice

response unit whenever providers (doctor's offices or members) would call in.
