Projects Undertaken

1) Project: CVS.com Test Data Management Feb, 2014-Till date

End Client: CVS Caremark.

Role: QA Lead

Domain: Retail

Environment/Tools: Toad for Oracle, SQL Server, QTP, UNIX Putty, Quality center.

Description: CVS Test Data Management team deals with the test data requests coming

from the QA, Regression, UAT and Regression teams via HP Quality Center. The Service

requests are placed in HP QC and are fulfilled on FCFS basis using QTP scripts, Tar files,

SQL queries etc. The test data created by the TDM team is used by the QA, Dev and

Regression teams for testing.

Technical Aspect of the project:

This project mainly deals with Creation of patients and prescriptions on the RX connect

application which is automated by QTP. QTP takes the input data from the excel macros such

demographics info of the patients and prescriptions to create the data in the RXC application.

Once the data is created the output data is updated in the output columns of the Excel

macros. After creating the test data the service request is assigned back to the data requester

and marked as “Completed” in Quality center.

2) Project: Retail Giant project for Sears Holding Corporation. May, 2013 – Feb,

2014

Description: In this project we are creating a “REWARD System”, which will give the bonus

point to his customer depending upon the different offer available on that day along with the

STATUS of that specific customer (Gold customer, silver customer, Platinum customer and

all.)There are different operation available (57 operations) based on that customer will get

rewards. The aim of our Testing team is to test all the different services using SOAP Pro Tool.

Technical Aspect of the project:

The client have huge Database having millions of records .We are using the sharding concept

to divide the whole database into the 256 shards. It will increase the performance of the DB.

For SOA testing, we are using the “Data Driven Framework”. In the data driven framework,

we are passing the input using the external files (excel, txt etc.) and sending the request to the

server and server will provide the response. That response will be validated against the DB

using the groovy validation. If the expected and the actual value is same then the Test case

status will be passed and vice versa. In this way the whole test report will be updated

automatically using groovy scripts. Finally the updated Test report will be send to the client

through mail using the groovy scripts.

3) Project: Campaign Management System Mar,2012 –

Apr2014

End Client: CVS Caremark

Role: Test Engineer

Environment/Tools: SOAP UI, TOAD tool for Oracle, Teradata DB, Unix Putty, and

Informatica.

Description: The CEE Campaign Management Project implements the Teradata Relationship

Manager (TRM or CMT) tool, which contains a set of capabilities to support flexible targeting

and segmentation as part of the overall opportunity workflow. This program is intended to

Improve the patient/member experience by offering time and money saving opportunities and

by promoting proper medication utilization and adherence through various communication

channels. TRM will be used for two specific communication campaigns (commercial Retail to

Mail (RTM) and core, non-pharma-funded, Adherence to Drug Therapy (ADT) – also called

Compliance and Persistence or C&P) managed by the CEA Team.

Technical Aspect of the project:

This was a Data Warehouse Testing Project which includes the validation from Source to

Target. Source for this project was Toad for Oracle and Target was Teradata. The Data is

moved

from Source to target using informatica workflows and UNIX batch jobs. Once this is done we

used to do the validation between the source and the target tables.

4) Project: Order Management System Nov 2011 – Feb

2012

End Client: John Lewis

Description: The John Lewis Partnership project aims to provide a system which includes a

better interface, scalability, money saving options, better delivery to customer through various

communication channels. This program is includes creation of order and delivery of order to

various vendors through different communication channels. I was involved in validating the

whole cycle of order placement through John Lewis website manually.

Used SOAPUI for doing the Web services testing using the request and response method.
