Project: Access to Excel to Access. Purpose: This project is to allow a

petroleum engineer to read oilfield production data into Excel to

interpolate and forecast the data. The current data sets available to

petroleum engineers are sparse and difficult to verify. By pulling the

data into Excel, Excel can show the data in tabular format and in a semi-

log chart simultaneously, quickly revealing errors and anomalies in the

dataset Data is then saved back to the Access file in either of two, user

selectable, ways, interactively and non-interactively. Interactively the

application will prompt the user to update/insert records record by record.

Excel was used because engineers are familiar with the application,

allowing quicker learning curve. No custom-built equation editor would need

the data online in a query-able, sorted format. Online (see Project IIS)

country, city and industry, and search by company. Clients can click on

emails and web sites. See also Project: on-line.
