Objective

A Civil Engineering Technician seeking a position that can utilize my

expertise in construction and maintenance of highways, bridges and

buildings with nearly thirty years of experience in the field of civil

engineering.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

MONTANA STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MDT)- Joined on 01 July 2014 at

Glendive District construction division as Civil Engineering Technician

(Full time-PMT) working till date.

Working as as a crew member of Team headed by Kevin Baisch, Engineer

Project Manager.

Inspected road construction works including stationing, recording progress

on site manager software, ensuring works being carried out as per contract

provision, survey using GPS, Geopak and Micro station, recording traffic

safety arrangements, recording quantity of cold milling, PMS overlay &

material testing, chips seal, road marking paints, sign boards / posts,

guard rails and material testing at Different Roads in Eastern Montana

which includes Inter State Highway I-94, Glendive-Sidney (Montana 16)and

Baker- Miles city (US 12).Attended numerous conferences/seminars and

certification classes such as Site manager software, WAQTC nuclear gauge,

embankment, in situ density, Aggregate,concrete etc.

Govt of India (Border Roads Organization) - a premier road construction

agency under Ministry of Transportation . Started in December 1984 and

have been progressively promoted in rank until October 2013. The post held

with duration and brief description of work done are as follows:

i) Assistant Engineer (Civil) Mar 2013

- Oct 2013

. Worked as Assistant Director (Planning) in the office of Director

General Border Roads in New Delhi, India

. Assisted director for effective planning of road, building and

bridge projects in a cost effective and timely manner.

. Worked as Administrative cum Security Officer in the Head Quarter

of DGBR, New Delhi.

ii) Junior Engineer (Civil) Feb

2000 - Feb 2013

. Inspected the construction of multiple hundred mile long road

projects and numerous bridges.

. Performed office works containing planning, estimating,

budgeting, documentation, etc.

. Contract oversight on various road works as well as

accommodation works.

. Supervised tunnel lining and maintenance works in Kashmir,

India.

iii) Superintendent (Buildings & Roads)

Mar 1988 - Jan 2000

. Contract oversight for the construction of roads with flexible and

rigid pavement.

. Supervised a labor force of over a hundred during construction of

cross drainage structures and road formation.

. Frequent quality control checks with laboratory and field tests of

materials and structures.

. Works planning, documentation and reporting of progress of works.

(iv) Overseer

Dec 1984 - Feb 1988

. Supervised road maintenance works including Labor oversight for

construction of roads in the state of Uttarakhand, India.

. Supervised the construction of building works including residential

and commercial houses.

. Conducted survey works namely chain, compass, plain table,

levelling etc. and prepared estimates based on survey data
