Resume:

Matthew Van Mols

*** * **** **** **** Apt ****, Henderson NV 89015 [702-***-****] [acpdhq@r.postjobfree.com]

Objective I am hoping to find full time work where I can use my fabrication skills. Although I have much

supervisory experience I am perfectly happy just building stuff. I get along well with others and take

direction without complaint or argument. I am highly skilled - I can build anything.

Experience Sign Builder

[12/1/03 - 10/10/14] EGADS LLC 3235 Polaris Ave, LV, NV, 89012 702-***-****

Reading and interpretation interior casino sign blueprints and CAD Drawings

Custom fabrication of sheet metal sign cabinets of all shapes and sizes - cutting bending spot welding etc.

Cutting, fitting, riveting, welding etc of steel and aluminum structure.

Form and build channel letters from sheet metal and aluminum.

A large part of my time at EGADS was spent building interior casinos signs. I worked on 10+ large pylon

signs and numerous wall-mount store front type signs plus channel letters and directionals. I frequently

served as a crew leader on large projects. The ability to analyze and manually correct programming errors

was very important because of the CAD mistake rate.

Senior Sign Supervisor

[8/26/93 - 11/23/03] Mikohn Gaming Corp St. George, UT (headquartered in LV, NV)

Same fabrication duties as above.

Pre-production review of CAD drawings and CNC files.

Supervisory of Sheet Metal, Welding, and CNC departments - scheduling, passing out assignments,

monitoring quality etc.

Mikohn gaming built the same sort of interior casino signage as EGADS. Despite my supervisory duties I

still spent at least half my time working in production because I love building things. I rose through the

ranks to become 3 out of 70+ people, but when it became apparent that could advance no further I left to

join EGADS where I thought there was more opportunity. That was a mistake. Mikohn went out of business

in 2009.

Plant Supervisor

[1985 - 1993] After Five Tux Shops Costa Mesa, CA

Inventory allocation

Ordering

Scheduling

Shipping and Receiving

Sewing, pressing, dry cleaning

After Five was a six-store tuxedo rental operation. I started as a presser, but after 2 years I was running

their production facility. I had 10 people and we organized and delivered 300 - 1000 rental suits per week. I

left the company to relocate out of CA

Tube Bender

[1980 - 1984] Markland Industries Santa Ana, CA

Operate tube bending machine

Cutting fitting grinding welding

Prototype design of new products.

Markland was company that made chrome motorcycle accessories in batches of 100 -1000. For a factory

job it was fairly enjoyable. I particularly liked being on the team that designed new products - challenging

and rewarding. I left because I wanted to try something different.

Education I went to Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, CA. I graduated in 1976 with honors

and 4.0 GPA. I went to Cal State Long Beach for 1 year and quit because I found it boring - stupid.

Interests The only interest I have at this time is supporting my wife and dog. I don’t take vacations and I

don’t go out of town. I’ve only missed work twice in the last 21 years (car trouble) and I haven’t called in

sick since October of 1993.
