DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

AS ELECTRICAL SITE ENGINEER:

Supervision of all the Electrical works at site, but not limited to installation of MV Switchgear, Transformers

Power distribution Panel Boards, Control Panels,Lighting fixtures and First & Second fix of raceways as per the

specifications & manufacturer standards.

Preparation of Electrical construction programs, activities schedules, Project progress reports daily/weekly, and

attending the project meetings for proper coordination with other agencies to meet the client’s requirements and

on time completion.

Preparation of the Monthly and weekly project progress report for the executed activities, drawings and

submittals in hardcopy to the planning department.

Ensure the quality activities in compliance with contract requirements, specifications and approved Shop

Drawings

Monitor the electrical work on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the schedule, production budget, and

technical accuracy.

Prepare progress reviews reports periodically; resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems

that may arise at any time.

Verified Sub-Contractor’s invoices in accordance with the Site works progress.

Co-ordination of Electrical drawings with architecture, structural & mechanical for proper smooth work progress

at site between different activities and departments.

Preparing shop drawings for Low Voltage systems, Electrical equipment room layout’s including cable tray and

Cable Routing, Earthing system, Lightning system etc.

Preparing Electrical panel board load schedules & Single Line Diagrams for the Power Network.

Quantity takeoff for Raceways, Cable trays, Support system, Wires, Cables, for Lighting and Power comply the

Approved shop drawings.

Preparation of additional bill of quantity for the change orders requested; submit the Variation orders to the

Project manager for review and further action.

Conduct inspection, test at site and verify the correctness of the inspection request prior to submittal to the

consultant.

Monitor the work performed by the sub-contractors. Prepare/issue punch list and instruct sub-contractors QA and

Engineers to comply.

Performed site inspection of electrical works and coordination with Inspector / Consultant.

Arranged and witnessed for Testing and Commissioning of the delivered Medium Voltage Switchgear,

Transformers, UPS and Low Voltage panels.

Arranged and witnessed the Testing of the Lighting points, Lighting circuits & power circuits prior to installation

of the Lighting Fixtures, Hand Dryers, Electric Water Heaters, HVAC units & other utilities.

Arranged & Performed in process and final inspection for the above systems with Engineer / Consultant for

approvals & handover, as required.

Maintaining records and archives i.e., inspection & tests data are recorded, filed and maintained as per the

company standards.

AS A ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER;

Electrical designing involves:

• Preparation of Power Schematics, Lighting and Power Layouts, Earthing and Lightning Protection System,

preparation of BOQ, Specifications etc.
