Duties and Responsibilities :

The LOA is specifically accountable for supporting Command and Control in delivering to its overall responsibility of being ‘Guardians of Service’. Through providing 1st line event management through both reactive and proactive means.

Fully responsible for providing technical and operational support in Tandem Midrange system and Base24 applications.

Monitor, operate and provide 1st line support for all Banks infrastructure and major applications. These includes : Mainframe, Tandem, UNIX, Networks, Windows, AS400 and VMS platforms.

1st Line Support – Level 1 Event management and Incident Management

Handle all alerts and undertake initial incident classification and prioritization. Also perform incident investigation and diagnosis.

Specializes on Base24-POS implementation on HP Nonstop Systems. In charge of Base24 online transaction and batch offline transaction discrepancies, system configuration, enhancements and bug fixes, report generation, system testing and stability on ATM and POS environment using CashCard/Pre-paid Cards with ATM cards.

Designs and integrates Cashcard (NETS Product) solutions on Tandem for Cashless payments on Retailers, Kiosk, Payphones, Vendo Machines, Electronic Road Pricing (ERP), Vehicle Entry Permit(VEP) and all Electronic Carpark System

Responsible for code modification and bug fixes both in TAL and COBOL programs on EFTPOS, Shared-ATM and Batch applications (offline settlement, report generation, batch processing), as well as regression testing and user acceptance testing support and implementation.

Provides 24/7 primary support for both production and test system on EFTPOS, Shared-ATM, Cashcard Batch and Cross-Border(Malaysia and China Switch Interface Applications), As well as batch processing or CashCard/Pre-paid cards settlement and transaction reconciliation.

Provides pre-sales support and technical solution with other project managers in project implementation and proposals. Working with various vendors to deliver quality solutions and services for merchants and consumers.

Manual Transaction Entry System

Enabled users to manually enter transactions in the system that has disputes, discrepancy or not successfully processed by the system

Developed a new requester/servers using Screen COBOL and COBOL programming that facilitates the manual transaction entry. With Maker and Checker functions that validates the transactions entered in the system

Developed new batch program in COBOL for audit log housekeeping and transaction log managing for settlement processing

Responsible for System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing support with the product users as well as post implementation support

Base24 PTDF Extract program enhancement

The modification is to improve the extraction performance of the PTDF file for Banks as it takes more than 2 hours to complete extraction

Modified the vanilla codes (EXTR) in TAL to buffer the file and increase the block size during file creation for faster extraction processing which improves up to 90%

Migration of ERACOM Security module from Asynchronous to TCP-IP protocol type

Implemented for all batch processing applications including settlement for Electronic Car Park System, ERP(Road Pricing), VEP(Vehicle Entry Permit), kiosk, PayPhones and Vendo machines offline purchase transactions.

Modified the vanilla Eracom API program in TAL to introduce an identifier for Asynch or TCP-IP protocol type to identify the message format to be send to the Eracom HSM module.

POS-terminal ECR-Interface with Contactless Reader for YOSHINOYA food chain

YOSHINOYA a local food chain provides customer a contactless mode of payment using NETS CashCard for food purchases

Assists in SIT, UAT and implementation to production.

Responsible for batch settlement processing support for their offline purchases.

Car Parking System – FSMS (FTP Settlement Management System) enhancements and bug fix

This is a batch settlement system for electronic car park transactions. Pooling and queuing of settlement file for processing using new pathway requesters and servers.

Responsible for enhancement of code in TAL for FSMS application for verification of Merchant ID (MID) linkage between the settlement file the MID in the Service Provider table file

Fixed the bug to enable a maximum amount of $500 in a single carpark transaction

China Union Pay – Cross-border project

Enable Singapore local banks to acquire CUPS ATM cards in local ATM’s for withdrawals and POS terminals for online purchases.

Provides technical support for post-implementation issues and discrepancies on settlement and reconciliation reports

Responsible for report generation and production problem investigation and troubleshooting

Auto-Email Acknowledgement System

Initiated for electronic carpark merchants with an ease of e-mail notification for payments and reconciliation of transactions
