Engineering, Associate Process Engineer (1998 to 2014)

. Provided engineering support for Paintline, Upholstery, and Foam Seating

production departments. Supported 45 associates in daily production

issues, prototyping new products and making engineering changes to

correct or modify existing products.

. Experienced with coating equipment specifications, paint selection and

metal parts cleaning and chemical selection used for powder coating.

. Experienced with fabrication in brazing, machining, electronics and

surface finishing (chrome plating and powder coating).

. Created solid models and blueprints using SolidWorks CAD software.

. Developed and produced assembly documentation for the assembly department

and fabrication department to guide Associates in producing quality parts

Word and digital pictures.

. Researched, developed and produced Work Instructions and Standard

Operating Procedures for Paintline, Plating and Upholstery Departments to

. Developed quality procedures and documents for areas of responsibility

using SPC processes. These procedures reduced scrap in production of

foam parts and reduced rejection of painted parts at Paint Line.

. Researched and purchased high resilience foam dispensing equipment for

production of seating systems at Invacare.

. Trained fellow associates in new practices and procedures. Training

consisted of new assembly processes, new company procedures and

compliance to new policies. Associate training was done on a one-to-one

basis up to groups of 45 or more.

Auto Insertion Programmer / Operator, Electronics Department (1996 to

1998)

. Programmed individual circuit boards and operated through-hole pick

and place machines. One unit was used to insert axial components and

other was used to insert Integrated Circuits.

. Assembled circuit boards manually with electronic components that were

outside of pick and place equipment's abilities. Used hand soldering

techniques in this assembly process.

Chemical Maintenance Technician- Paintline (1992 to 1996)

. Researched and completed forms for Invacare's' compliance with Local,

State and Federal compliance for waste water and air discharges.

. Wrote technical documentation for company compliance with government

agencies (i.e. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan for Cleveland

Street facility).

. Researched, published and distributed documentation for Invacare

Corporation Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.

Supervisor- Patient Aides

. Supervised Machine shop and Assembly departments with 35 Associates.

Duties were to manage time and attendance system for each Associate

and to report accurate production data and maintain highest quality

standards.
