shareholder value through the discovery, acquisition, development and marketing of natural resources. The

world’s largest producers of major commodities, including aluminium, copper, energy coal, iron ore,

manganese, metallurgical coal, nickel, silver and titanium minerals, and uranium along with substantial

interests in oil and gas with an 100,000 employees and contractors spread across 100 locations throughout the

world.

CSC DBA team handled the baseline and project based activities for the account. I worked as account SPOC

for SQL DBA team and also handled project activities.

Duration: 18 Months

Location: Chennai, India.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up new SQL Servers 2000,2005 and 2008 and Restoring and Production Databases.

• Regular monitor of servers and this includes Security, jobs, maintenance and troubleshooting of all

the production real time issues.

• Applying latest SQL Server service packs on the production servers and keeping the SQL Server

security up to date.

• SQL Server Administration, Service availability with no loss of data.

• Administering the MS SQL Server by creating User Logins with appropriate privileges and Roles,

Creating different groups and granting them appropriate privileges to users and groups on the servers

having Windows or SQL Authentication modes.

• Perform Full Backups and Transaction Log Backups. Restore them whenever necessary; creating

back up strategies and scheduling them for execution.

• Using the Database Maintenance Wizard to make some necessary changes and keeping the

performance of the server at acceptable levels.

• Import/export data, backups and restore of database, managing servers, and managing clients.

• Automating administration tasks, managing security, monitor server performance and activities.

for SQL DBA team and also handled project activities.

Location: Hyderabad,India.

Responsibilities:

• Regular monitor and troubleshooting of Production sql servers and working on Alerts,

which includes jobs failures, Backup, etc

• Managing databases, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, enforcing business rules.

• Import/export data, backup restore database, managing servers, and managing clients

• Handled more than 2500 SQL Servers for 1 year with a team of Five members.

• Capacity planning and preparing report from the DBA level on monthly basis.

SQL DBA team and also handled project activities.

Responsibilities:

• Regular monitor of servers, which includes Backup Job Monitoring and troubleshoot all the

issues on regular basis.

• Changes on sql activities using Remedy 7 and implementing as a change owner.

• Guiding technically and process approach to a team of SQL DBA's.

• Projects: Upgraded SQL Server 2000 to 2005 on 6 production instances.

• Regular monitoring on server disk spaces, backup schedules and database health.

• Complete responsible for restoring the SQL database at critical time Zone.
