• Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
report daily activities to the Supervisor and discus the concerns if any.
• Contribute for continuous improvement in enhancing work productivity and HSE issues.
• Experience with the operation of Central lathe, Drilling, Milling and Cutting equipment’s and hands on experience of
precision measurement tools such as Vernier Calipers, inside and Outside Micrometer, Bore gauges, dip and dial
gauges, etc.
• Reconditioning of parts of Pumps, Compressors, Valves and other machinery Components by machining, to restore
the original dimensions/clearances.
• Reading and understanding of assembly/component drawings/specifications and fabricate parts as per the detailed
instruction. Freehand sketch in the mechanical drawings, equipment assembly drawings, technical drawing and blue
prints.
• Manufacturing of special bolts and nuts; jig and fixture, Thorough knowledge of different types of threads, taper
mating with blue matching and non standard components.
• Experience in Marine and shipyard, port and heavy equipment component Maintenance and problem solving and
mechanical solution for oil and gas industries, wear tech solution, minor adjustments, changing of parts etc.
• Knowledge on Work permit/HSE requirements in Oil, Gas and Petro Chemical Industries.
• Knowledge /experience with different types of materials such as CS, Cast Iron, Monel, SS, Titanium, Aluminum, PVC,
Teflon, Nylon, Relco, Zeron, Cu – Al, Bronze and Haste alloy etc.
