Responsibilities

> Performing Raw Material Inspection.

> General surveillance inspection - to ensure that sub contractor's

welding and piping related activities are executed in accordance with

relevant standards, specification & approved procedures.

> To monitor daily welding issues, techniques, production results, and

assists with management of the NDE and PWHT subcontractor.

> Ensure the Low hydrogen Electrodes are kept in the ovens according to

the standard requirement.

> Ensure the baked and exposed electrodes are not re baked.

> To check the electrode conditioning and preservation of low hydrogen,

SS electrodes ( backing, holding & portable oven temp.)

> Auditing the consumables store and verify the certificates of

electrodes, filler wires, shielding gases etc periodically.

> Ensure the exposed electrodes are being returned to baking oven and

marked for identification in order to issue prior.

> Reviewing and maintaining calibration certificates for welding

equipment.

> Checking the validity of welder qualifications for the work being

performed.

> Checking the applicability of the WPS utilized for the work being

performed and ensure compliance with regard to preheat, consumable and

welding parameters

> Ensure that only approved welding procedures are followed and welders

are qualified.

> Conduct weld audit and ensure that welding parameters are conformance

with WPS.

> Defect Analysis in welding and NDT fields (Cause, Elimination and

Rectification).
