Work up quotes for labor and paint costing, ensure adequate inventory of consumables, ensure all equipment is maintained; responsible for SOPs – keeping all up to date, implement safety procedures – track and report any concerns. Review and monitor government contracts, implementing required procedures to ensure contract specifications are met.

* Schedule certification for all painters, track quality of painter’s work. Attend monthly manager meetings, monthly safety meetings, and conduct internal meetings so everyone has a chance to give input and ideas for smoother operation of our production. Work on production schedules with Production Controller to ensure the right product gets out on time and sign off on all completed work orders.

* Ensure proper documentation is received prior to beginning work i.e., call out on drawings for pre-treatment, coating, etc. All government drawings must call out specific MIL-STD or MIL-DTL to ensure proper treatment of part is achieved. Responsible for all building issues, i.e., fire/sprinkler inspections, CO monitors, forklift maintenance checklists, booth checklists (reviewed daily for paint and sandblast operation), air makeup, exhaust fans, weather stripping, security alarms – coordinate repair issues with Facilities Manager. Responsible for tracking of hazardous waste removal for environmental reporting (disposal records must be available at all times to keep in line with Air Quality Permit requirement),

* From 2011-present I have also been given the responsibility of not only managing the Paint Facility, but also the Anodizing Line, Powder Coating Line, and Sign Cutting Line to ensure parts requirements are met by the required due date and a quality product leaves our facility. This involves heavy communication with other Project Managers to coordinate parts arriving from the Coatings Facility in time for final assembly and delivery to our customers.

Work directly in conjunction with Supply/Parts department to ensure repair parts ordering, up to date status, receipt of repair parts, status changes in a timely manner to assure equipment is available for maintenance as soon as possible.

Weekly contact with Human Resources Department for training issues, safety issues, personnel problems or concerns. Trained with HR Department in proper management of the facility from a legal standpoint, what is permissible, what is not permissible.
