I started consulting in the manufacturing/distribution areas as a contract

programmer and soon built a small consulting firm that consisted of sales,

professional services, and programming. This business started with me and

a partner of equal ability. In the peak of it's time we employed over a

dozen, mainly technical people. During this period of time we installed

systems, modified existing systems, and trained personnel. These jobs

varied from small programming changes to the installation and

implementation of integrated MRP manufacturing systems. Hardware ranged

Mohawk Industries, Inc.

One of the world's largest floor covering manufactures/distributors. I

managed the EDI team and consultants. I supervised the day to day

operations of EDI and managed the EDI projects/implementations. Mohawk uses

CAMS software which is written in RPG, RPG LE, and RPG FREE in this ISERIES

environment. Trusted Link for the ISERIES is the translation software used

along with Trailblazer communications package.

Healthcare management Systems, Inc.

HMS develops information technology solutions for community hospitals and

specialty healthcare facilities. I was contracted to assist with several

projects that consisted of modifying EMAR applications. I was later moved

to the pharmacy scrum team to assist in developing enhancements and

modifications to pharmacy applications. Some of those applications were

ICD10/SNOMED, Sliding Scale, and Titration. We have been using Agile/Scrum

in this RPGLE, RPG/FREE, Stored procs and SQL ISERIES environment.

Simplicity Creative Group

Simplicity is a manufacturer and distributor of sewing patterns and

accessories.

I was contracted to back fill a vacant EDI position. The job consisted of

implementing new trading partners, maintaining existing trading partners

and develop/maintain RPG code where needed. The environment was an ISERIES

model E4A V6R1M0. The application code was PRMS 9.2 and PRMS 10, there were

5 companies. The EDI consisted of both X12 and UN/EDIFACT, the transactions

were 850,855,860,856,810,852, ORDERS, ORDFL, DELFL, DESADV, INVOIC, and

INVFL. Custom code/modifications consisted of CL,DDS,RPGLE, RPG/FREE, SQL.

The EDI software was Inovis TL/I 6.01.02 with BizManager BizConnect version

3.0.2.361.

Metro Medical Supply, Inc

Metro Medical is a distributor of pharmaceutical drugs and supplies. I was

contracted to

Implement Inovis Trusted Link (TLI6.03) on the Iseries with their new IBS

distribution system. This consisted of 4 customers and 53 vendors which

included 867, 855 In&Out, 852, 850 In&Out, 849, 845, 844, 810 In&Out. Data

had to be extracted and interfaced to the new system. This was an AS/400

ISERIES environment utilizing IBS 6.5. Custom

Code consisted of CL, DDS, RPGLE, RPG/FREE, SQL.

ASA Electronics

ASA is a manufacturer/distributor of electronic components. I was

contracted to help implement 5 trading partners from JD Edwards to a third

party service company. The following transactions were utilized: 850,

855,856, & 810. This required extracting data from a J.D. Edwards World 7.3

cum 11 environments on an AS/400 and FTPing the data to the third party

service. In addition, received the inbound 850 data via FTP from the third

party service and input this data into JDE. A number of RPG programs were

written and re-written to fit the new ASA EDI environment. This was an

AS/400 ISERIES environment utilizing J.D. Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum

11. Custom code consisted of CLP, DDS, and RPGLE and modifications to J.D.

Edwards WORLD software.

Jarden Consumer Solutions

I maintained the Canadian division EDI from the corporate office and

remotely. Implemented 940-945, 943-944 and 947 with sister company Coleman

for combined warehouse/shipping in Canada. Responsible for implementing new

trading partners and maintaining existing trading partners. This required

creating and maintaining user file definitions, maps, trading partners,

VANS and creating CL & RPG where needed for APIs. This was an AS/400

ISERIES environment utilizing J.D. Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum 12.

Custom code consisted of RPG, CLPs and modification of J.D. Edwards WORLD

software.

Jarden Consumer Solutions

I was contracted to assist with a conversion of a two sister companies

running SAP software to the corporate J.D. Edwards software. I converted

all files associated with Address Book, open sales orders and POS software.

I assisted in converting 39 trading partners from SAP IDOCS to Inovis EV5

TrustedLink/400; transactions consisted of 850, 856, 810, 830, 852, 860,

and other misc. transactions. This was an AS/400 ISERIES environment

utilizing J.D. Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum 12. Custom code consisted of

RPG, CLPs and modification of J.D. Edwards WORLD software.

Also converted three European sister companies running SAP software to the

corporate J.D. Edwards software and they are running EDIFACT EDI standard.

Sunbeam Corp.

I was contracted to assist the conversion of a sister company running JBA

software to the corporate J.D. Edwards software. I converted all files

associated with Address Book. I converted all open orders from JBA software

to J.D. Edwards. I assisted in converting 35 trading partners from EXTOL to

Inovis EV5 TrustedLink/400, transactions consisted of 850, 856, 810, 830,

852, 860, and other misc. transactions. I created a custom interface from

Inovis TrustedLink EV5 to a server based POS Velocity system. Also

responsible for converting and interfacing a telemarketing system,

TELEMAR/400 to the corporate J.D. Edwards software. This was an AS/400

ISERIES environment utilizing J.D. Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum 12.

Custom code consisted of RPG, CLPs and modification of J.D. Edwards WORLD

software.

Sunbeam Corp.

I was contracted to evaluate the current POS point of sale system, make

recommendations on improvements and fix existing code bugs. In addition I

implemented 25 new POS trading partners with the 852 POS EDI transactions

and interfaced to J.D. Edwards. Re-designed the custom reporting system and

added history capturing for later reporting requirements. This was an

AS/400 ISERIES environment utilizing J.D. Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum

12. Custom code consisted of RPG, CLPs and modification of J.D. Edwards

WORLD software.

Delta Pride Catfish, Inc.

I installed software to migrate the existing Trusted Link/400 2.11 to

Trusted Link/400 EV5.4. I configured system and migrated all user file

definitions, MAPs and trading partners to EV5.4. I currently support this

company remotely with their current and future EDI requirements. This was

an AS/400 ISERIES environment utilizing J.D. Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum

12. Custom code consisted of RPG, CLPs and modification of J.D. Edwards

WORLD software.

Sunbeam Corp.

I installed software to migrate the existing Trusted Link/400 2.11 to

Trusted Link/400 EV5.4 on both the development AS/400 and the production

AS/400. I configured system and assisted a team of three in migrating all

user file definitions, MAPs and trading partners to EV5.4 for over 150

trading partners. This was an AS/400 ISERIES environment utilizing J.D.

Edwards WORLD software 7.3 cum 12. Custom code consisted of RPG, CLPs and

modification of J.D. Edwards WORLD software.

Progressive International, Inc.

I installed software to migrate the existing Trusted Link/400 2.11 to

Trusted Link/400 EV5.4. I configured system and migrated all user file

definitions, MAPs and trading partners to EV5.4. Conducted informal

overview and training to staff. This was an AS/400 ISERIES environment.

FlowServe

I installed software to migrate the existing Trusted Link/400 2.11 to

Trusted Link/400 EV5.4. I configured system and migrated all user file

definitions, MAPs and trading partners to EV5.4. Conducted informal

overview and training to staff. This was an AS/400 ISERIES environment.

Denso

I was contracted to assist with the split of two divisions into two

companies in a JD Edwards 7.3 World environment. I assisted mainly with the

Fix Assets of J.D. Edwards. This consisted of Splitting out two divisions

into two separate environments with inside of J.D. Edwards. Conversion

programs were written to extract data from file and populate the new

environment. A number of RPG programs and supporting CL was written to

accomplish this goal on an AS/400 ISERIES.

Harrah's Casino

I was contracted to implement 110 inbound air invoices and 820 outbound

payments for Federal Express. Also 820 for the State of Illinois and New

Jersey for child support payments. This was in an AS/400 ISERIES running

Trusted Link/400 EV5.2. Also conducted informal overview and training to

staff.

Specialty Brands, Inc (a division of Tyson Foods)

Specialty sells frozen food products to food service industry customers

such as hotels and restaurants. I was contracted to help clear up a backlog

of customers requesting EDI. This environment consists of running

Peregrine/Harbinger EV5 with BPCS on an AS/400. I implemented 13 new

trading partners and maintained existing trading partners. Also assisted in

the day to day operations of EDI. This consist of researching errors both

in & outbound transactions, interfacing with trading partners to resolve

issues, and upgrading existing trading partners to version 4030.

Transactions utilized here were 810, 850, 855, 875, and 880.

Pelstar LLC

Pelstar is a manufacturer of small and large size scales. Pelstar purchased

a company and merged that business into their business. I was contracted to

help implement 9 trading partners from Peregrine/Harbinger to a third party

service company. The following transactions were utilized: 850, 856, & 810.

This required extracting data from a J.D. Edwards World 7.3 environment on

an AS/400 and FTPing the data to the third party service. In addition,

received the inbound 850 data via FTP from the third party service and

input this data into JDE. A number of RPG programs were written and re-

written to fit the new Pelstar environment.

Truck Accessories Group

TAG is the leading manufacturer of small truck lids and covers. I was

contracted to implement EDI with Ford and Nissan using J.D. Edwards World

7.3 and GENTRAN on the AS/400. This project utilized the 850 and 824

transactions from Ford. The 824 and 856 were outbound transactions to Ford.

Project consisted of EDI via JDE, ad hoc reports from JDE and GENTRAN, and

documentation/training both user and IS staff. This project also consisted

of programming in RPG & CLP, project management, and troubleshooting after

"GO LIVE". We also implemented 810 invoices with Nissan.

Sunbeam Corp

While contracting for Sunbeam Corp. in Boca Raton, FL, I was the primary

contact for "Order to Cash" issues. This included research of incoming

documents such as 850 purchase orders and outbound documents such as 856

advance ship notice and 810 invoices. This included companies such as Ace

Hardware, Sears, Kmart, Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Service Merchandise, Dillard's

and other trading partners. Also I was considered part of the EDI team that

constructed UCC shipping labels, created inbound and outbound transactions

(850,852,856,810) for new trading partners and attended planning sessions

for future expansion of EDI. This contract included not only mapping from

Harbingers AS/400 EDI platform but also trouble shooting and program

extraction of data from JD Edwards World 7.3. Transactions consisted of

214,810,820,850,852,856,860. This project also consisted of programming in

RPG/CLP and troubleshooting problems as well as resolving "Order to Cash"

issues.

Apache Mills

While contracting for Apache Mills I was instrumental in assisting with the

selection process of a new ERP system. The system chosen was JD Edwards

World 7.3. I was a member of the manufacturing team and the project

manager on the EDI conversion from Gentran/400 to Harbinger/400. I

converted 12 trading partners, some were Sam's, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sears,

Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, and others. Most of this conversion also

upgraded to 4010 versions for Y2K. Most of the in house code that existed

was either reengineered or rewritten, such as ASN processing, ad hoc

reports of

inbound data, UCC shipping label processing and product planning data. I

also

conducted the entire pilot testing for the new JDE system while continuing

to maintain the current EDI platform. Transactions consisted of 810, 820,

850, 852, 855, 856, and 860. This project also consisted of programming in

RPG/CLP, project management, and troubleshooting after "GO LIVE".

Humbolt Express - (TRANSPORTATION)

As a consultant I was the primary EDI coordinator/technical person for an

interim time. I performed day-to-day operations of EDI communications and

transaction processing. I also setup, mapped, tested, programmed and

activated new freight lines that requested EDI. This shop ran an AS/400 and

Sterling's Gentran/400 mapping software. The customer's application was all

in-house written. Transactions consisted of 210, 214, 215, 216, and 820.

RPG & CLP were utilized at this site.

Skyline Transportation - (TRANSPORTATION)

As a consultant I was instrumental in filling a vacancy. While setting up

new trading partners and transactions I also trained a programmer on

mapping and using the transactions they were using. This included setting

up trading partners, communicating with VANS, mapping, testing and

programming. This shop ran AS/400 and Preminos/400 called Harbinger/400

(TL400) mapping software. The customer's application was in-house software.

Transactions consisted of 210,214,215,216. RPG & CLP were utilized at this

site.

APL - (TRANSPORTATION)

As a consultant I enhanced the company's EDI team and preformed setup of

new trading partners, upgrades to existing maps to current standards,

tested both application and EDI data, and mentored junior level programmers

for EDI. This shop ran AS/400 and Sterling's Gentran/400 mapping software.

The customer's application was various packages on various hardware

platforms. Transactions consisted of 210, 213, 214, 215, 216, and 820. RPG

& CLP were utilized at this site.

I have also worked as a contractor in an EDI role for Champion Parts, IBM,

I have worked on projects from conception to completion and I have also

assisted others in their implementations and acted as troubleshooter and

auditor of EDI. I have 30 plus years in EDI, system design, and RPG

programming. I have worked with most of the retail/distribution and

automotive EDI partners, such as Wal-Mart, Sears/Kmart, Sam's, Target,

Lowes, Bradlees, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Office Depot, US Stationary,

Allegiance, Business Depot, Office Max, Owens & Minor, Federal Express,

Staples, Quill, DOD, Kroger's, Winn Dixie, Kohl's, Sysco, Tyson, Nash

Finch, Bruno's, Bi-Lo, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Shell Oil and many others. I

am very knowledgeable of X.12 standards as well as other standards,

UN/EDIFACT and VICS. I can read and determine specifications as well as

write specifications. I have worked with the following EDI transactions:

110, 210, 211, 213, 214, 215, 216, 810, 820, 824, 832, 846, 850, 852, 855,
