Intelaphase Inc. – PDM –MES-SAP Integration Project (Seb 2014 – Till Date)

Client: Philips Lumileds, San Jose, USA.

Roles – Senior PDM/PLM Business System Analyst.

Philips Lighting (Philips) is a leading provider of solutions and applications for both professional and consumer

markets addressing lighting needs in a full range of environments – indoors (homes, shops, offices, schools,

hotels, factories, and hospitals) as well as outdoors (public places, residential areas and sports arenas). Philips

also meets people’s needs on the road, by providing safe lighting in traffic (car lighting and street lighting). With

the new lighting technologies, such as LED technology, and the increasing demand for energy efficient solutions,

Technology is a key enabler for Philips.

The main objective for PDM 2.5 PDM- MES –SAP integration is to support PDM (Teamcenter 8.3.3.2)

Integration with MES (Camstar) supports the PDM master data and part of MES master data, BOM and bin

master data creation in Teamcenter and MES with related attributes enrichment activities to be performed in

MES.The success of this project can be measured using the below two measurable criteria:

• Improvement or no impact to CO Cycle Time

• Item master, BOM and data is aligned between PDM and MES and SAP

Responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirement in the Functional requirement

specification for the vendor.

Focal contact between IT, Engineering and Operations business unit process owners and platform

stakeholders.

Collaborate with business users and technical teams to strategize business process change.

Solicit and sharpen requirements from business users while assisting in producing business requirement

documents (BRD’s).

Transform BRD’s into techno-functional specifications for developers.

cleaning of master data to align with SAP. From PDM phase 2 onwards PDM is source of the Material Master

Data, PDM needs to be aligned with SAP definition of Product Hierarchy. Also the left over enhancement from

PDM 2.0 were also completed.

of templates are – Foundation, Automotive Edition, and GM Overlay. Foundation template contains

core functionality and is the base for all other templates. All templates must extend at a minimum the

Foundation template.

Redesign existing Property Rule implementation to support true inheritance and handle the silos or channels
