GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT

Teaching assistant for the College of Computing and Informatics, Drexel College

Course:-CS164 "Introduction to Computer Science" CI102 " Computing and Informatics

Design"

• Teach concepts of HTML and JavaScript to a group of 30 students in lab environment

• Assist students with problem solving and code debugging in one to one interaction

• Explain the concepts of project management in lab environment

• Engage students and assist them in team activities during their project development

PROJECTS:

Independant Study: Network Design Labs using Virtualization (January 2015-March

2015)

• Developed lab exercises for students taking course INFO 330 - Computer Networking

Tech I at Drexel university for studying EIGRP, and NAT protocol.

• Developed a lab in which working of video streaming websites and applications are

studied. Applications studies in this lab are YouTube, Skype and call phone feature of

Gtalk which use VOIP and SIP protocols.

• Labs involve hands on network activities that support network design lecture materials

• Used virtual technology "virtual computing lab" as platform to connect to college

servers and used virtual network components for architecting internet networks

• Tools used: RouterSim, Wireshark, or open source packet generator software.

• Studied in depth concepts common wired network protocols including Ethernet, USB, etc. and

common wireless protocols including 802.11 (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, ZigBee. Reviewed all

protocols with respect to cost, performance, and reliability tradeoffs of commonly used network

technologies. Used OPNET modeller to model the traffic

• Did a presentation on HSRP protocol. Included Cisco IOS commands to configure and debug

the protocol

Internet Lab (April 2014 – June 2014)

• Designed, developed, tested and implemented routing and switching communications

infrastructures of internet using Cisco routers 2900 series, switches routing on internet

rack tables

• Adapted RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and NAT on a Linux PC and a Cisco router and studied

their convergence according to changes in topologies

• Setup and routed traffic between autonomous systems with BGP

• Configured Linux PC and Cisco routers as a network bridge

• Monitored, analyzed and resolved network bottlenecks in LAN

Study Project-Computer Networks (September 2013 – March 2014)

• Perform network performance characterization and optimization via lab implementations

as well as modeling and simulation

• Implemented Monte Carlo's Simulator to study various types of networking traffic

• Solved real time networking problems by modeling them as M/M/1, M/M/C,M/G/1, M/D/1

queuing systems and time reversibility of birth death processes.

• Analyzed headers of Application layer protocols viz., HTTP, FTP, SMTP, Webmail, POP3

and DNS using Wireshark tool.

• Studied different routing methods at IP layer, TCP flow and congestion control and

submitted a research paper on TCP BIC congestion control method

Websecurity-I (Sept 2014- December 2014)

• Assisted in development and evaluation of cyber capabilities through the exploitation of

networking technologies

• Create a simple web site patterned on a typical blog site as per given specifications

• Quiz Project: Created HTML page with embedded JavaScript code which gives users a 5-

question quiz, provide the correct answer and report the user’s score so far

• DOM Tree Project: Wrote HTML webpage with a number of paragraphs of words and a

number of web links to different sites. Embedded JavaScript code which placed button at its

end and accessed DOM tree of that page to count the HTML elements of document. Display the

statistics on the following page

• Cookie Stuffing Project: Created an HTML page with embedded JavaScript which, if delivered

from a server within a domain, will stuff additional cookies on a user’s browser

Computer cursor movement based on hand gestures (2011)

• Incorporated MEMS technology to reduce need of base and overhead of handing

tangled lengthy mouse wires

• Soldered voltage surge protection circuits to protect the delicate sensor IC on PCB

• Fabricated two PCB’s, one for mouse and other for computer and used FSK

transceiver module CC2500 as transceiver to achieve RF communication between

them. This communication was achieved at 2.4 GHz in ISM band. Data for

transmission was processed using PIC microcontroller PIC 18F4455. RF stack was

implemented in the microcontroller in PCB plugged to computer.
