CyberIQ Services' mission is to develop and deliver innovative software and
services that enables cyber analysts to collaborate, analyze, and manage
cyber threats in near real-time.
Vice President, Solutions & TECHNICAL Operations . SCRUM Master Certified
Managed CyberIQ Threat Collaboration - a cloud based platform through which
communities of like companies might securely share Cyber and all-hazard
threat intelligence in order to identify common threats and through the
creation of an expanded virtual team of analysts, mutually derive
mitigation strategies. This platform is deployed with multiple Information
Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISAC's).
Responsible for overall technical architecture, strategy, design, network,
security, systems, database, capacity management, availability and service
level management for both CyberIQ's Threat Analytics running in Amazon AWS
IaaS cloud and Threat Collaboration running Microsoft's Azure IaaS cloud.
. Lead a team of 7 DEVOPS; 1 Program Manager, 3 developers 3, systems
engineers with designing, developing and deploying CyberIQ's products.

Cyveillance Corporation, Reston, Virginia . 2005 - 2013
Cyveillance provides cyber intelligence solutions to the enterprise market
in the areas of anti-phishing, ID theft and fraud protection, corporate
security, information protection, corporate compliance, partner compliance,
distribution control, and brand protection. It also offers malware
protection and site safety index solutions.
Director, Technical Operations . ITIL Foundation Certified
. Administration of a $2.0M+ budget in the support of 160 employees and
over 350 external clients, including several Fortune 100 businesses
. Responsible for all corporate IT functions which included the
purchasing of all hardware/software for the company.
. Responsible for the overall technical architecture, strategy, design
and development oversight for data center, network, security, systems,
database, capacity management, availability management, and service
level management
. Managed Cyveillance 24x7 SAAS operations which included 3 system
engineers, 1 network engineer, 1 windows engineer, and 1 database
administrator with a minimum of 99.9% uptime availability.
Accomplishments at Cyveillance:
. Migrated the on premise data center to a Tier 4 co-location facility
(Equinox). The move took place over a nine month period with no down
time and impact to external/internal clients. The new production
infrastructure and applications are ISO 9000/IEC 27001 certified and SAS
70 Type II certified and has improved customer service, uptime
availability, and system performance.
. Developed a redundant, highly available infrastructure to met 99.9%
uptime availability. Increased bandwidth from 200 Mbps to 400 Mbps for
less than current monthly expense, achieving a $500K/month cost savings.
Determined equipment and software required to meet future data processing
requirements.
. Upgraded all routers, switches, firewalls, databases and EMC SAN/NAS.
Executed network monitoring across all zones and VLANS (Nagios).
. Designed and implemented new logical and physical network segments which
consisted of: Core, Prod Insecure, Prod/App, Prod Inside, Corp Desktop,
Corp Inside and QA/Dev Firewall and VLAN Zones
. Replaced existing PBX system with VoIP. This resulted in a significant
reduction in monthly recurring expenses and improvement to network
infrastructure.
. Designed tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators to ensure
major technical issues were escalated and technical response times were
efficient.

Rydex Funds Services, Rockville, Maryland . 2001 - 2005
An asset management firm dedicated to providing high quality, innovative
investment solutions across the asset allocation spectrum that meets
investors' diverse and evolving needs.
Director, IT Operations
Oversaw budget, staffing, training, work product and planning for all IT
departments. In charge of two supervisors and seven technical staff in a
24 x 7 operation, which included 75 servers, 26 T1/DS3's and five terabytes
of data. Administration of departmental budgets in excess of $3.5M in
network operations, end user support and creation of technical strategies
for the continued growth of Rydex's applications, products, and
infrastructure.
. Led technical design and project management on a 2,000 square foot data
center. This required re-cabling the entire building with cat6, moving
75 servers, telephone switch, and all voice and data connectivity over a
two weekend period with no production downtime. Designed and connected
via multiple WAN links, upgraded Cisco catalyst 6509 to have redundant
supervisor cards and routing modules. Installed new VPN concentrator,
implemented new redundant PIX firewalls, designed and implemented VPN
connectivity for remote satellite offices in Denver, Shreveport and
Boston. Also designed new SQL server clustered architecture for all
critical production servers and a Microsoft environment to replace Novell
server. Brought all components of the Internet solution in the same
physical location as production servers, resulting in a $250K/year
savings.
. Built a 7,500 square foot Disaster Recovery facility. The fully
functional 75-person facility offered the capability to accept
shareholders telephone calls, price funds, and the ability to trade the
funds.
. Constructed telephony redundancy, carrier reliability and diversity to
the building through the design of a secondary entrance to be used in the
event of a main line fiber cut from the central office. Utilized
multiple carriers for local DID and long distance, physical cabling
reliability and telecom redundancy with Disaster Recovery site.
ICMA Retirement Corporation, Washington, D.C. . 1992 - 2001
An independent, non-profit provider of integrated retirement and investment
advisory services for government organizations.
Director, Data Center Operations
Led a team of four managers and 20 technical support staff in a 24 x 7
operation. Administration of a $1M+ operational budget with oversight for
all batch and online processing, quality assurance, management of desktop
system operations, and supervision of the Information Systems Help Desk
Department.
. Evaluated, purchased, and deployed the latest hardware and software tools
to improve productivity and customer service. Software and system
upgrades were implemented with minimal disruption and no loss in the
achievement of daily service level agreements.
. Implemented policy improvements to the data security function. Wrote and
coordinated the Information Systems Disaster recovery plan and directed
the development of Disaster Recovery capabilities for ICMA RC's internet
environment.
