SUMMARY

Structural Design and Construction Engineer with over 25 years of extensive demonstrated success in

planning, structural designing, shop drawing checking, estimating, construction supervision and project

management for Buildings and Bridges both in steel and in concrete. Experiences in structural design

include high-rise buildings for hotel, hospitals, office, educational institution, residential and commercial

buildings, government buildings and heavy industrial buildings for textile mills, garment industries,

ceramic factories, brick manufacturing factories, cement factories, oil and CNG gas stations etc.

Experiences in bridge design include simply supported, balanced cantilever, rigid, truss and plate girder

bridges in addition to box culvert. Foundation designs were made with open footing, raft, piles and deep

caissons. A super expert in STAAD Pro, expert in autocad and other softwares and is fully familiar with

the ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM, AWS, AASHTO, AREMA and International Building Code for structural

design of Buildings and Bridges. As an experienced structural engineer it was almost day to day routine

assignment to handle complex and complicated structural engineering problems. The design of heaviest

Crane Platform at WTC site for installation of blast plate and generation of moving AASHTO and HL93

load on the deck of Mahawk River Moveable Dam/Bridge including deflection of Harlem River Bridge Pier

Fender due to accidental collusion are some the examples. To design one of the heaviest curve beam for

Ramapo college and to design a underpinning beam in WTC to replace columns sometime usher in my

design.checking of Breaker, CCPD and Bus Support including Specification. The project is completed on

08-13-14. Structural Design of BUS EXTENSION FRAMING at Jamaica Substation, Queens NY

Work included studying various electrical and structural drawings and design supporting frames and members against

electrical short circuits blast effect caused by seismic and wind forces.

Storage Building; EWR- 910.832, Traffic Barrier Swing Gate (Aluminium) 60’ and 45’, Port St and

Brewester Rd Connector. Checking of Tripple Box Culverts (Runway 4R22L and 1129) for aircraft 747-8

and 787-8. Checking of Mezzanine Floor for load due to Battery Power System at 33rd St PATH. Design

for Column protection, pipe support and beams: World Trade Center (WTC), Structural Engineer for

design services for various temporary structures for WTC PATH terminal transportation hub project.

Design included, but not limited to, crane platform, structural bracings, roof structures and columns

supports, support of excavation for footings and walls, Blast Plates and supports under blast plates,

construction barricades, under pinning columns and support beams. At JFK Airport, Reinforcement

design for culvert at Taxiways. Checking of Tripple Box Culverts under Runways for aircraft 747-8 and

787-8 and also designed Jet blast wall, retaining wall for exterior A/C installation units for Electrical

Utilities Building at JFK Airport. La Guardia Airport,s HVAC update, La Guardia Marine Airport A/C

installation. Stewart Airport. A/C installation. LGA East HVAC upgrade, Boiler replacement

project.Project Completed - NJTA, Design Services for Miscellaneous Structural Repairs on GSP –For

a bridge at Springfield Avenue over Garden State Parkway. Structural analysis and preparation of design

details of Union County Three Intersection Traffic Signal; Jersey City Path EC Panel, Rating of Montauk

Rail Road Bridge and 8 other bridges on Morristown Line; using COOPER 80 Loading including leading a

team of young engineers for inspection.Loading and Rating of 217 year old first in NJ, Stone Masonry

Arch Bridge on Hwy 27 at Princeton . Theoretical deflection by Staad analysis was compared with the

field observation of latest fiber optics strain gauge using AASHTO loading. Field inspections were made

frequently. Transmitted field datas could be verified sitting in the the office. Project Completed - Ocean

County College, Moon Library, Syracuse, NY, Mary Wheeler School, Newark,

Project Completed – HARLEM RIVER BRIDGE PIER FENDER, Found out deflection by structural

analysis by making a Staad Pro model after applying impact load from Drifting Hopper Barg. Project

Completed - MOHAWK RIVER MOVABLE DAM CUM BRIDGE, main task was to go for rating of the

structure with special emphasis on gusset plates. A staad pro model was made in order to solve the

problem. Deck stringer and floor beam had to be reinforced.

Project Completed - Tasks included making structural designs using staad pro, making sketches for

preparation of structural detail drawings etc.Worked for the Projects such as GP Halsey Chimney Tower

for Paper Mill in Oregon and Duct for ATI Sponge Titanium LLC, Utah.

Structural Engineer, SNS Architects & Engineers, Montvale, NJ March 2006- November 2007

Project Completed -Tasks included making structural designs using staad pro, making structural detail

drawings using autocad and checking shop drawings. Projects such as Ramapo College, Hudson

Saving Bank, Valley National Bank, Biagio Resturante, North Jersey Orthopedics, Fedex, Mercedes Benz

and KPMG were completed during this period.

Senior Structural Engineer, URBITRAN, New York February 2006- March 2006

Project Completed - New York City School Construction Authority; PS 230 IS 229 Structural

Stabilization, Bronx, NY - Senior Structural Engineer, responsible for making staad pro model in order to

find out excessive deflection of the building against wind load. The building was experiencing excessive

deflection due to wind load and was having cracks in the exterior walls. Staad analysis confirmed these

excessive deflections. Introduction of a number of new cross shear walls as well as strengthening of a

good number of columns helped to slove this problem and deflection was within the control limit. The

Shops at Atlas Park North Garage, 80-36 Cooper Avenue Glendale.
